Amy Poehler kept quite the pile of books at her side as she wrote YES PLEASE, for reminders and their inspirational qualities. These books included: Heartburn by Nora Ephron, Just Kids by Patti Smith, Girl Walks Into a Bar... by Rachel Dratch, The Bedwetter by Sarah Silverman, Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? by Mindy Kaling, Not That Kind of Girl by Lena Dunham, How to Be a Woman by Caitlin Moran, and Bossypants by Tina Fey. (The latter 6 she calls "wonderful books by wonderful women" that she read and reread).

What literature would you keep at your side?

Not necessarily if you were writing your own memoir, but simply books special to you, to remind you of certain qualities or to inspire you in some way as Amy's choices did.

List them here, and if you would like, share why you chose them.
