PugMom (nicoleg76) | 2014 comments So, we're in the last (turkey)leg of the book! Another body was found in the hills behind the turkey farm. Was it the same killer or is there another one on the loose?? Some of the turkeys were identified as being ill and the plot thickens!! Also, at the end of the book are some recipes that the gang whips up as the story unfolds.

J I still don't understand how some of the turkeys got sick...was it accidental? I understand about the switching but what did that have to do with them getting sick?

PugMom (nicoleg76) | 2014 comments They were poisoned with milkweed. I think that they had the "inferior" turkeys get sick after they were switched and end up confusing everyone not really familiar with them. Maybe they intended all the turkeys to get sick eventually so they'd be wiped out totally and no one would be the wiser that they were switched.

PugMom (nicoleg76) | 2014 comments So, overall...nay or yay? It was okay for me but not a page turner.

J I would say yay. Could have done without her fairy godmother Zak but otherwise ok. The story held my interest throughout and I couldn't wait to see whodunit to the extent that as I previously confessed, I had to peek.

I was away from the internet most of the past week, but did finish the book. Mostly yay. It was short and sweet with a reasonably decent finish. I was partially right about Zak--he DID buy the old shelter for Zoe (though he wasn't the culprit!) Happy endings always help.

PugMom (nicoleg76) | 2014 comments I guessed who bought the shelter too. I still think Zak seems too good to be true. I actually read the next book in the series and also have the next one after that. I signed up for Kindle Unlimited free trial so I'll be able to get the next few books also. I might keep it for one month and read as many as I can over the holidays. I don't think I'll keep it past 1 month though.

Yes you were Pgh! I kept silent because I didn't know if you had finished and I didn't want to reveal anything. Good sleuthing!
