SOLVED. Fantasy Trilogy: Boy meets three mysterious witches/old hags...travels back in time to WWII

I'm trying to remember a book series I read as a child. I believe it surrounds a boy around/after WWII in England, or he travels back and forth through time to WWII. He ends up meeting these three odd witches, there are crows (their pets) involved...

It's driving me crazy. I wish I had more to tell you about it.lol
