For the longest time, I suspected that she might have hired someone to kill Emma or someone close to her committed the crime without her knowledge. In the end, she turned out to be the prototype for gentlewomen who have to endure an awful arranged marriage. No wonder so many chose to remain unmarried after their husbands' deaths. They were liberated.

Lady Seaton was never on my suspect list. Looks can be deceiving but she just didn't seem the type to be capable of murdering a young woman whose only "crime" was a genetic link beyond her control or choice.
The only woman I suspected was Agnes. She was the type of woman who would blame a victim of rape for "seducing her rapist". Liv Weston and Lady Seaton were never on my radar mainly because I could not see either one of them killing Emma. Both could well have killed their husbands whom they despised, but they would not have blamed Emma for a "sin" that was no fault of hers.

I thought she was a suspect and it was going to be a twist with her being different than what she showed herself to be and it was going to be a big surprise. I thought she going to be the monster killing all of those girls.
