If it's a book from the book list, you need to read the specific book. If it's a book by a mentioned author on the author list, you can read any book by that author.

Sandy, what if the whole series is listed, not a specific book. Like The Shopaholic series or Dan Brown or the Harry Potters. Can we just read one of these or do we need to read all of them?

If you're reading a book from the list, you need whatever is on the list - so, I guess you could read the entire series in this case, if you really wanted to. :) Otherwise, you need to read a specific listed book, or any book by one of the specific authors at the top of the list.
