I read a book called the lost girls. It was a girl reading a journal from a different time. Would that count?

Does The Glass Castle work for this? I’ve just started it, but I see it starts out in present day and flashes back to her childhood. I’m struggling with this prompt and time is winding down.

We get snippets of the fairy tales throughout..."Ooh, me too! I didn't even think about this book (also known as 'My Grandmother Asked Me To Tell You She's Sorry') when I came to this thread looking for ideas. Thanks!
I am read the magpie Murder and I am annoyed that I can't accurately track my progress because the page numbers aren't linear and constant
I wanted to read The Brothers Karamazov for this prompt, but after reading It I've no intention of reading long books for a while now. So I will focus now a relaxed and not a usual choice for me, The Princess Bride.

No one, actually! But I figure it was the 2014 Amazon Book of the Year, and it's been a big hit for a few years now, I'm sure quite a few authors have blurbbed it and recommended it, maybe one of your favorite authors. It's worth a shot! You kind of have to dig around.
I did a little googling ... authors who have reviewed and/or said nice things about it include:
Alexander Chee
Clea Simon
Mark Lawson
I'm sure there are more.
