A book with one of the four seasons in the title
I stumbled across a book called Winter Solstice in the bookstore a few weeks ago. It has great reviews so I will probably read that.I remember my 5th grade teacher reading Summer of the Monkeys to us and I loved it.
After doing some research on here (and google!) I discovered a couple I liked the sound of Prodigal Summer and The Summer Book and I think I'll chose the latter because I love the cover, it looks so idyllic.
A Week in Winter by Maeve Binchy comes to mind. Our library's book club read it several winters ago, and it was enjoyed by all.
Here's to HOPING that The Winds of Winter finally gets released in 2017. I'm not holding my breath though.
After I read Voyager for my book that takes place into two time periods, I'm going to read Drums of Autumn by Diana Gabaldon.
I think I'll make a double here with Fall of Giants for a book set in wartime and Winter of the World for this category.
Fall of Giants is perfect. I have that on my reading list and wanted to read it anyway. Thank you.I got so excited that I forgot I already read that book. So Winter of the World will be perfect especially since I just recently bought it.

I'm going with The Autumn of the Patriarch because I've been itching to read more Garcia Marquez.

I had to do some shuffling, I really can't count on The Winds of Winter to be out in time ;)
Here were my ideas:Summer Sisters by Judy BlueSummer Sisters
Summer Affair by Elin Hildebrand (chick lit) A Summer Affair
A Hundred Summers by Beatriz W A Hundred Summers
The Winter People by Jennifer McMahon is a great mystery/thriller for this one. Highly recommend that read!
I'm trying to match my TBR list to the topics when possible. For this one I've come up with The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down: A Hmong Child, Her American Doctors, and the Collision of Two Cultures by Anne Fadiman. It's supposed to be really good!
I have several options I am going to choose from: Winter Bloom
Winter Solstice
When Autumn Leaves
Spring Fever
Some other options I have previously read for people looking for something:
Summer in the South
All the Summer Girls
The Summer Girls
The Winter Witch
Winter of the Wolf Moon]
Winter Garden
Blackberry Winter
Summer in the Land of Skin
The Summerhouse
Secrets of the Lost Summer
Summer at Willow Lake
The Edge of Winter
I am going to read Winter. I read the first 3 books this summer and I needed a break in the series and also I needed to finish the rest of this year's challenge.
Rebecca wrote: "The Winter People by Jennifer McMahon is a great mystery/thriller for this one. Highly recommend that read!"This one has been on my TBR since I found it weeding shelves at the library. So I'll probably go with it (unless GRR finishes The Winds of Winter!)
I'm going with Spring Fever by Mary Kay Andrews since I've had it on my kindle for flipping ever and haven't gotten around to reading it yet.
Here are a few that I've come up with for fantasy fans:The Summer Dragon by Todd Lockwood (#1 in a series)
Winter by Marissa Meyer (YA, #4 in a series)
Rebel Spring by Morgan Rhodes (YA, #2 in a series)
When the Heavens Fall by Marc Turner (#1 in a series)
Ooh I forgot the fourth lunar book is winter! I'm on the waiting list for the third one so it'll be perfect timing! I can read it early in the new year
I am reading The Winter RoseOthers I have read are:
The Winter Sea
Prodigal Summer
Summer Sisters
New Spring
I also really enjoyed In the Fall
Two that were already mentioned that I would second as good reads are The Winter People, and The Winter Garden. If you're looking for romance, there are a ton that have summer in the title:
One summer trilogy by Susan Mallery is: Summer Days, Summer Nights, and All Summer Long
Summer Brides would also work for a book by multiple authors
Second Chance Summer
Summer in Napa
Last Kiss of Summer
One non-summer romance is Autumn in the Vineyard
The first few titles are used by different authors so that'll double or triple the chances of finding a book. These ones listed I've read or I like the author so I know they're enjoyable romances.
In my continued obsession with long books, I'm contemplating Winter's Tale for this. I think at least half the books I've listed so far for the challenge as a whole are at least 700 pages long.Oh dear.
The Kindle version of Flat Lake In Winter by Joseph T. Klempner is on sale on Amazon today for $1.99. Legal thriller; pretty solid reviews.
I cannot recommend Tove Jansson's The Summer Book highly enough. It is the type of book that is so still and small and quiet that you think, "What is this? This is nothing." And then it hits you square in the chest with its everything and never leaves your heart.I read it this year for the island prompt, and I wish I allowed myself re-reads for this list so I could read it again.
I'm reading The Winter of Our Discontent. However my friend told me about a book called The Winter of Our Disconnect that sounds intriguing also. I just haven't been able to locate where I can read it for free.
I am using this prompt as an avenue to continue my way through the Outlander series. I happen to be on Drums of Autumn so that will be my choice for this prompt. Then I will probably take another break. I love the books, but they are a commitment. And I tend to need a bit of a brain break between books.
Just realised I had The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet for the 'been on your reading list for too long' one, so I've swapped that round and wall use it for this instead
I just finished Prodigal Summer for this category. I love Barbara Kingsolver's writing style! This was not my favorite of her books that I've read but I can't help feeling her descriptions and being totally absorbed in the story. If you love nature, this is a wonderful book. Prodigal Summer

I'll be doing the The Winter People book for January group read. Firs t time doing the monthly book!
I recommend The Winter of our Discontent by Steinbeck. I read it last year and found it really absorbing. It takes place around 1960, so if you liked the vibe of the Mad Men TV series, you might like this. As for me, I plan to read Silent Spring by Rachel Carson. It's been on my TBR list forever (to my chagrin). The time has come.
I'm new here. I started reading The Winter People, which was a little confusing at first. So many perspectives! But, I'm getting less and less confused. haha
Yes yes yes to The Summer Book, it's my favourite adult Tove Jansson.I'm currently reading and enjoying Les Fiancés de l'hiver, but it hasn't been translated, so that's only for french reading fantasy lovers.
