Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney ⭐️⭐️⭐️

My reading slump continues. But, I went to an event and heard Jeff Kinney speak about his Diary of a Wimpy Kid series and I decided to read the first one to see how I liked it.

I'm not a huge fan of graphic novels, so Diary of a Wimpy Kid was kind of perfect for me. It's basically a middle grade novel with lots of pictures in it, kind of a cross between a graphic novel and a regular novel. I really liked that aspect of it.

I also enjoyed the story. It was a lot of fun. I laughed out loud a few times. I was more tired when I read the second half so I didn't laugh quite as much. And, I found the very grownup part of me groaning while reading the second half. Reading it was fun but it was annoying too, lol. I think I'd still like to keep reading the series (at least for now) and see what happens.
