He is able to teleport, or "jump" whenever and to wherever he wants. But one day, he makes a huge mistake and causes his parents their lives. So he jumps to Mexico and now lives with a Mexican family who help immigrants and lost travelers

The story begins in a apartment in London and the main character Lo gets woke up by her cat crawling on her face. She realized her door was closed and she never shuts her bedroom door. When she walked out to the kitchen she saw a burglar standing in front of her door. She couldn't tell what the guy looked like because he was wearing a hoodie and a bandana around his face so now she is worrying that he is going to come back.
The story begins with a guy telling of what happened to the world, a massive explosion devastated the high school, unleashing a virus that kids and teens are safe from, but adults are killed by. The school is quarantined and is divided in gangs based on social cliques, and without a gang, well, your basically dead. With the exception of our main character, David and his brother Will. The beginning really gives us a tat set of the environment, the feeling of desperation and never being safe, and this was only the first few pages. In the next chapter we get some backstory on David, so that's nice.

The story begins with a girl named Rio who is boarding a ship as a support for soldiers. So far, the story has mostly taken place at sea and mainly revolves around Rio. As she gets there, things don't go so well. She gets chased down by one of the crew members who ends up making her fall off the ship, and scratching one side of it. After that, when she gets back up, she meets another crew member who she doesn't interact too well with, and doesn't get along with. That's just the beginning of the book, and what I've read so far.

The story begins of a man describing what he sees and describes his world through his eyes. The story takes place in his apartment or house. They haven't said his name yet, only have used pronouns. He tells the reader how he has had terrible dreams and nightmares also how he hasn't left his home in 11 years, so he names place in his home different regions like his room is South America, his rooms upstairs are Italy because he used to go to Italy a lot. They also remind him of his sister but he try's to block out the thought of her.
The Killing Woods-by Lucy Christopher The book starts out with the main character, Emily Shepherd, in her home near the woods. It's late at night and her dad comes home holding something. She presumes it's a deer, but she couldn't tell because it's dark. She soon realized it's a body, the body of Ashlee Parker, someone from her school. Soon the police come and her dad is arrested. The book then jumps 2 months later. Her friends (which aren't friends anymore), are treating her like she is a murderer, even though her dad was never convicted of murder, at this point she gets into multiple fights with her old friends about this.

This takes place in Josh's house with his Mom. What's going on so far is that his parents are not together anymore and it's Josh's birthday and he got a stuffed falcon from his dad.

The story begins with Winston Smith, the main character, going to his home after being in the Victory Mansions. While he was walking home, he noticed a huge poster with a face of a man saying, "Big Brother is Watching You.", with the eyes following you when you move. Once he arrives home, he was bored of watching the telescreen talking about pig iron and the agenda for the political parties ninth three-year plan. He did not want to say anything, because the telescreen can hear and record everything you say.

"For a long moment we stare at each other; he, another girl's murder and I, another man's victim. Then my mouth widens further, and I detach myself from the ceiling to lunge, my unblinking eyes boring into his panicked, screaming face."
