Catarina (catarinasantos103) | 3 comments I’ve never participated on a read-a-thon before and this one seems the perfect one on the perfect time so I’m excited!

I’m kind of a slow reader but I'm on an ambitious mode so I picked up a few options. I’m first planning on finishing Empire of Storms (technically I’m already a few pages in but won’t get to read much in the next few days. I don’t know if thats considered cheating or not). After that I intend on re-reading Illuminae and continuing on with Gemina.

The Name of the Wind and The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue are also an option if someone wants to buddy read those with me, or any of those I've mentioned!

Hi Samantha! Ooo go on then, its is my most daunting tome because of the size and I've not read much Stephen King. So I suppose now is the time to tackle it realistically!

Count me in for Strange the Dreamer, and maybe Way of Kings. I think I need to read The Final Empire first, so I'm starting that one on Audio.

message 77: by Sherri (new)

Sherri | 5 comments This is my first tome-toppler, and I noticed on a couple of other readathons, including this one, there is a challenge of "buddy-read" It is a silly question, but are the buddy-reads only here on discussions boards, or in general, like family members/friends? I don't know anything about buddy-reads, so any information would be neat so maybe next time I can complete that challenge. Thank you.
My TBR
1. All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr
2. The Book Thief - Markus Zusak (on order)
3. Gemina by Amie Kaufman and Jay Krisoff
4. Clarissa, or the History of a Young Lady (hoping to get to page 1000, on page 535ish)

Outlander is amazing! I was reading the third book in the series, Voyager, and I just had to stop because my copies of the fourth and fifth books hadn't arrived. I want to read them one after the other. They're too amazing and I don't want withdrawal.

OMG, I had no idea that Renegades was over 500 pages! Right now I only have the audiobook, but will be getting it on Sunday. Also hoping to get a good chunk of it read before then.

I already plan on buddy reading another book with someone else, and just personally don't feel comfortable adding another. But I hope you find someone to buddy read it with you.

I just finished Well of Ascension and was planning on starting with Hero of Ages! I'm not sure how buddy-reading works (I don't have Twitter, and I mostly just browse Instagram but rarely post myself), but if you're still interested, I'm down.
