Vasoula | 43 comments I would love to be like Ancilla, Kitty in Cotillon or Sophie because they are kind and thoughtful and manage to find solutions to their problems, but I am afraid I most resemble Augusta (the Marquis of Alverstoke's eldest sister). It's a lowering thought! What about you?

message 2: by Emmy (new)

Emmy B. | 151 comments That's a good one. At my best I think I resemble a combination of the Grand Sophy and Frederica. At my worst I can be like Isabella Milborne from Friday's Child (character-wise I mean).

Jacquie Scuitto | 261 comments I hadn't thought about this before and I can't quite decide between Juana who followed her husband all over and practical Drusilla or Jenny. Of course at my age Phoebe's grandmother might be more suitable!

I am some decades younger than Augusta but I think we would agree a lot! I would love to be like Drusilla!!

Abigail Bok (regency_reader) Hah, I wish I were Hester Theale but I’m more like a cross between Arabella Tallant and Deborah Grantham.

QNPoohBear | 1640 comments Hmm ... A lot like Frederica in that I'm practical and can be managing and within the context of the novel -unromantic. I also resemble Serena in Bath Tangle. I would probably want to react to her situation in the same way she does. However, by the time I was her age, I had learned to control my temper.

Louise Sparrow (louisex) | 460 comments Without giving it too much thought, I'd say Phoebe from Sylvester.

message 8: by Rosina (new)

Rosina (rosinarowantree) I am tempted to say Sir Anthony Fanshawe's sister, whom I remember as being fat, placid and laid back, provided others don't bother her.

message 9: by Howard (new)

Howard Brazee | 1 comments My favorite placid character wasn't *always* placid and lazy - is Sophie's Marquesa.

Hilary (A Wytch's Book Review) (knyttwytch) Cleone's Aunt from Powder and Patch

i can't think of any heyer character i resemble much. i would like to be like Sarah Thane in The talisman ring, who is my favourite heyer heroine, but i probably don't resemble her much at all, though like her i can't draw.

Jackie | 1730 comments I would like to be many of them - especially The Grand Sophy since she is so brave - but I suspect I am whoever is nervous, not overly brilliant and likes to gossip...maybe Selina, Abby's sister in Black Sheep.

message 13: by Karlyne (new)

Karlyne Landrum | 3895 comments I've never thought about which one I actually resemble; I'm always looking at the qualities I'd like to possess and don't, which is why I like Jenny!

But, let's see: I'm good with kids, very practical and have a ridiculous sense of humor (please notice I'm only looking at my good traits), so maybe Ancilla? I detest injustice and mean people, so maybe a hint of Arabella, too.

And Serena's temper, if we're going to be honest. Sigh.

Critterbee❇ (critterbee) | 2786 comments Probably Sarah Thane, although when I was younger, I was just like Selina Rivenhall.
