Need help for a weird review situation

Help. I got a review on my book Euphoria-Z that is a 5 star. Yeah what's the problem you say. Primarily I am worried because it reads like a paid for review and I don't want that on my page. And it is grossly inaccurate. It's obvious the person never read the book! Not sure what to do.

Do you think it's worth worrying about? Any advice?

Would many people think it reads like a paid for review, Luke? I don't think it would occur to me, but I'm a simple soul so maybe there's a whole world out there that is alien to me!

It's just so inaccurate and positive I just am confused by it.

I know we are impacted by the reviews of our books, Luke, because we're human, and I know it seems like they should be our business. But really, we have no control of what other people say on the internet, including amazon. It seems a waste of energy to worry about it. I agree with what Joan says re replying to a reviewer if it's about a negative review - but maybe it's slightly different if it's positive?

Would a thank you go amiss, maybe opening a dialogue where Luke could ascertain whether the person had actually read the book?

I guess it depends how much he is bothered by it.

Thanks all. I am ok with everything, been through this before. I am not upset about anything other than the fact that it sound like a paid review. I would rather a one star that was inaccurate because I could address that.

I agree we can't change a thing and I am at peace with it, but I often try and usually get a positive response. THis is strictly about the oddness of the situation, a 5 star review that may make me look bad ;)

I'd probably be bothered by it too. And intrigued. I'm actually intrigued by YOUR review. I'm trying to find it. Is it here or Amazon?

Does it sound like your book at all? I'm just wondering because once I placed my review on the wrong book. Though fortunately I realized my mistake soon after.

It could be a real review. Some people are very positive when writing reviews. Or it could be fake...they write reviews in hope you write a positive one for them in return.

Did you look at other reviews the person has written? Do they also sound fake?

The problem is the first chunk of it is a regurgitation of my bio and complimentary fluff. Then I can tell what he did was skim the book and stop at a random page and pluck something out of context to shove in the review. He's totally wrong when he tries to make a comment on the events and characters of the book. Calling one a leader who never meets the group, etc... Anyway I'm going stop complaining. This is the book. Euphoria-Z
