Roberta (robertaprive) | 10 comments Preloaded audiobooks are available for several (including the first 3) 'In Death' audiobooks. Thanks to Playaway Digital Audio apparently able to retain some level of rights I'll be restarting there.

I don't think it's an option for libraries since Amazon holds the rights. They just want to control the content as much as possible:(

Stephanie (quiltsrme) | 63 comments I didn't know there were all these problems with libraries and the audiobooks. That explains why my library doesn't do the online audiobooks but continues to get the CDs. They have the ebooks though.

Karen (rhyta) | 184 comments Just an update, my local library still carries In Death on CD's but cannot get them through Overdrive. Brilliance the publisher was bought by Amazon so of course they sell them through Audible.
I know some of this was discussed earlier in the thread, but at least we can still get the audio even if it is clunky. I still have my CD player and use it all the time...it still works.
