Finally glad to get into this big book!
I know! I'm sure it's an easy read, just the size is so intimidating!
I know I'm going to laugh if we like fly through this book, just the size always makes me not want to read it.
I wish she would write a second book. I love it!
I've been hearing the book is so good. Maybe she will write another
@Mary She is writing a second book I think it will be a trilogy. The second book is going to be The Seeker and the third is going to be The Soul.The Seeker is coming out next year and it doesn't say when the third one is coming out yet.

I have, I liked it too! That's why I want to read the book. It was really strange because I went to see it with a friend and I kept telling him I didn't feel like there was much going on but it was really good.
I know! I felt the same way before seeing the movie. I was pleasantly surprised and I'm like if the movie is this good, the book must be awesome. Can't wait to read it!

I read chapters 1-5! This is pretty interesting, and I'm loving Stephenie Meyer's writing style!
Glad you're finding it interesting so far, I've always enjoyed her writing style. I plan to start my chapters 1-5 in a little.
I like it because her writing is just so easy to read that you get absorbed almost immediately. However, this is one of those instances where I am happy to have seen the movie first. As I was reading, I was thinking that I would have been a little confused about the premise at least for the first few chapters.
Yeah I have never seen the movie, I plan on watching it once I finish the book though. It looks like a good movie but interesting. Hopefully I don't get to confused while reading it lol.
Aisha, I felt the same way. I'm almost done with chapter 5 and I would have been so confused otherwise.
I've read the first chapter really early this morning then I went to sleep but so far I do understand what you both mean it's a little bit confusing trying to understand what's going on. But enjoying it so far and I've only read the first chapter. Plan to catch up and read chapters 2-10 today.

I'm a little behind but plan to catch up. I've read chapters 1-5 so far and it was a bit confusing but not way to bad but really enjoying it so far. This book does grab your attention and it's getting good.

I'm still on chapter 10, hopefully I'll read at least twenty more pages today. It's ok so far for me, I feel like not much is happening. That's how I felt about the movie and I still liked it.
Well I still need to catch up, yesterday was one of my best friends birthday so I wasn't home much of the day so I didn't read anything, but I plan to catch up as much as possible since I'm reading 3 other books at the moment.
I'm really glad I'm reading this book and I'm a little bit ahead of the schedule and really loving it so far. Damn Jared...I hate him....Ian is my hero..I love Ian so much.

It is so captivating as you said. When comparing it to the twilight series, I think the host far more better the the twilight series!!! They shouldn't have mentioned the Stephanie Meyer as the author of the twilight saga on the cover. The host is million times better than the Twilight!
I've never read Twilight, but I did watch the movies and didn't like them at all :P Anyway, I kinda like read 8 chapters ahead than what the schedule says for today...I got really into it and couldn't stop reading.., oops! (I'll wait for you all to catch up, I have another book I need to finish up anyway :)
So yeah, it's really amazing so far!! Melanie is getting on my nerves a bit, and I hate Jared now. But I really love the other characters, especially Jamie, Wanda, and Ian.

So I know I'm way far behind, but I am reading way to many books at once which is getting hard to keep up with all of them. Once I finish the book I'm currently reading and get closer with another I will pick this book back up since I was enjoying it. I'm reading 3 books at once right now besides this one so I want to get it to reading 1 or 2 books at once.
I'm in the same situation as Amanda. I am grossly behind. Hopefully planning to read my butt off over the next week.
