Rowan shook his head, pulling his jacket on. "I haven't seen her in a while," he said.

Vanessa was a little relieved that at least they weren't running about Raelynn but it begged the question. "We're going to find her. What happened?"

Francisco looked towards Fire before he turned to look back at Vanessa. “We were attacked by some… weird stuff on campus.” He said, then winced. “Like the last time- at the dance. Only now they’re a lot harder to get rid of. And if what I’m thinking is true… we might have to search for her. Soon. Like… now.”

Fire hung up with her brother and nodded her agreement. The grave expressions were making Rowan and Vanessa both very anxious. Could something really have gotten her?

"Let's go now. We'll split up and cover as much if the school as we can," Vanessa said, ready to jump right into it when her phone started ringing. From Raelynn number. Relief flooded her but it was short lived. It was a quick conversation, but Vanessa looked no more at ease by the end of it. "She's in the hospital wing. Something got her and she's out cold," she told them.

For some reason, Francisco found himself glancing at Rowan- because he knew that things between him and Raelynn were… complicated.

Janelle couldn’t help but to roll her eyes silently, going back into the room to let them sort it out now because this was all so annoying and unnecessary to her. “Now you know she’s safe.” She told him.

"I'm going to see her," Rowan said seemingly to no one in particular but it was very pointed to Janelle. Raelynn unconscious was very not safe.

"I'll come too. You might need the backup," Vanessa said and looked to Francisco. "How bad is it? What's happening, I mean." She didn't have any really clue. It might even be best not to know.

Janelle made a face but shrugged, sitting on the bed but not saying anything.


“Serious enough that you have to get to the hospital as quickly as you can- maybe even with vampire speed.” He said, looking to Rowan again. “So you’ll have to get Vanessa there, Rowan. We can’t… we can’t have her get hurt. And before you say it- I know you can protect yourself. But we have no idea what those things can do to you.”

Rowan glanced back into his room, only half apologetic to Janelle, before he closed the door. If he was leaving, he would leave it closed. "I can get her there," he promised. His practice with carrying girls while running was extensive.

Vanessa frowned a little but she knew it was true. Who knew what she could do against this threat or what it could do to her. With the unknown jt was better safe than sorry. Plus it was nice to know he was concerned. "What about you two?"

Francisco thanked Rowan before looking towards Vanessa. “We’re going to look for her siblings and then… I don’t know.” He replied, glancing at Fire because she was better with the whole planning thing.

"Then were going to determine who else needs help. We're not sure how far this extends but we saw it showing up all over the school," Fire said confidently. Once she knew her siblings were safe, then she could operate. It was family first. "Hopefully we won't be stopping at the hospital, so good luck."

Francisco nodded before he looked at Rowan and Vanessa. “Call us if you need us or something. And to tell us how Raelynn is.” He said, taking Fire’s hand.

"We will," Vanessa promised. She knew they were probably as worried as she...maybe. It was her best friend in danger after all.

"Come on, lets do this," Rowan said to Vanessa. Usually he ended up carrying bridal style but he figured since Vanessa was conscious and this wasn't an emergency so he he opted to carry her on his back instead. Vanessa made a face when he picked her up but she knew this wasn't going to last long. And then, they were gone.

"I couldn't get a hold of Rory," Fire said when were alone again. "Lucas said he thought he knew where she was and he's going to get her. But I want to check her room first before we go looking."

“I can take a quick look around for you?” He suggested, pulling his phone out. “Or try to get everyone out there of danger, at the very least.”

Fire bit her lip. "You think you'd be able to find her?" she asked, not about to pass up on a chance of saving her sister.

“I think it’s possible..” Francisco replied, tentatively because he didn’t want her to worry too much about it. Even if it was a pretty big… issue.

"And you can handle it by yourself?" she asked, also nervous to let him go alone but he'd be faster without her. She was just worried that Aurora would choke and wouldn't be able to protect herself because she'd never had to before. But sacrificing Francisco for it was the same problem.

“I can.” He assured her, squeezing her hand in his. “And I’ll call you if I find anything. Okay?”

"Okay," she said, still not liking it but having to concede. If they were trying to favor speed, then separating was the best option. She kissed his cheek. "Thank you."

“You don’t have to thank me.” He told her, since it was clear anything that was important to her was important to him too. He turned his head to kiss her on the lips before he went off to try and find her family.

Fire let herself be struck for a moment about just how lucky she was with him, but she didn't have time to waste on it right now so she kept it brief. She couldn't just wait around and do nothing while her people were in trouble. She trusted Francisco to find her sister, and Lucas could take care of himself well enough that she could focus on more people than just that.

Janelle stepped into the room through the wall to make sure it was empty before telling Rowan to come inside, since the last thing they wanted was for his roommate to be there already. But now that she thought of it, had he ever even stepped foot into it?
Anyways, she waited for Rowan to open the door so that they’d both get inside and finally rest. It had been a very long week and even she felt exhausted.

Rowan unlocked his room, grateful there was no one else inside. He kicked his shoes off first before going to grab a sweatshirt or pull on. If he was going to sleep....he'd need to be warmer than he'd been in that hospital. Then he laid down on the bed, half sitting up still.

Janelle went to sit on the bed besides him, watching him before she leaned over to wrap her arms around his neck from behind. “You need to sleep…” she told him, but kissed his neck. “And relax.”

Rowan sighed heavily. "I know...." He mumbled. "Its just hard." He was worried about Raelynn now that he wasn't there, but Janelle was being sort of distracting...

Janelle only nodded, kissing his neck again before she moved her lips to his shoulder. “I think I can help distract you..” She said, smiling a bit as she kissed his cheek. She was feeling light- because she no longer had to see her boyfriend sitting besides a girls bed for a week, willing to stay there even longer just in case. She wanted him here, with her- where they were free to kiss and talk without worrying about looking strange. What was the point of having the ability to touch him if she couldn’t even do that?

"You're doing a pretty good job of it so far....." He said and gave her a small smile. He took a deep breath and relaxed his shoulders a little. This was way nicer than the hospital wing in terms of...well literally everything. It made him feel bad for several reasons though, one being that it made him realize he actually had been neglecting Janelle a bit.

“I can do better if you’re laying down…” She whispered with a small smile before kissing him on the lips. She knew he was likely to pass out before they did anything that was actually distracting- but she didn’t care. He really did need the rest and to relax so she’d be doing what she could to make sure that happened.

"I'm sure you could," he said and slipped an arm around her so that when he slid down to lay on the bed she wouldn't go anywhere. Just as he thought, as soon as he was laying down he was sleepy. He didn't want to be this sleepy... He would end up sleeping for days.

Janelle pulled back, but only so that she’d leaning over him. She played with the collar of his shirt, watching him as she saw the signs of sleep enter his body. “If you had taken the time to rest between shifts…” She started, leaning down to kiss him again. “…you and I could have done a lot more of this, Ro. A lot, lot more…” She whispered, leaning down to kiss his chest so that he’d have an idea.

Rowan bit his lip a little. "I guess I've learned my lesson now," he said quietly. It wasn't wholly true but it felt true in the moment. He hoped more thant Raelynn would wake up soon so he wouldn't worry about her anymore at all.

“Now I’ll have to wait for you to be rested before I can finally have my way with you…” She said with a teasing smile as she slipped her hand underneath his sweater. She liked the idea of doing this a lot more- liked seeing him react to her. It was a nice change from when no one was able to see her. “The least I can do, I think, is give you something good to dream about…” She added, sliding her hands over his body as she slowly felt him lose more energy. So she kissed him again on the lips- teasingly because she knew he really was likely to dream about it and would be enough for her.

He smiled, but the more she touched him the weaker he felt in his already weak state. He was slowly being drained and hadn't the energy to say anything more to her, but felt her kiss as his eyes started to close and he fell asleep.

Janelle felt the moment where she lost him, as she sighed before giving him one last kiss that she hoped he’d feel even in his sleep. Then she laid next to him again, laying her head on his chest as she felt his chest rise and lower with every breath he took.

“Rowan…” Janelle whispered many days later, pressing her lips to the back of his neck. He had moved a lot in his sleep- so much that he ended up in the opposite side of the bed he had first fallen asleep on. She had updates now- none she seriously cared for- and since she had promised to tell him, it was her responsibility to do so now. However, she wanted to do it on her own terms. Which meant she was going to wake him up in a teasing manner.

Rowan stirred a little, but it was not unlike all of his other sleepy movements until he groaned and started to open his eyes. He felt stiff as the dead. It was a good thing he wasn't the type of vampire to sleep in coffins because he'd probably find himself buried. Thank Arceus for snoring though. He made a kind of moaning sound as he turned over to face her, like he was trying to say something that made no sense.

“Hello.” Janelle said, reaching out to brush the hair from his eyes. She wasn’t going to tell him good morning because it was already late outside and it wouldn’t make sense. But she was happy- happy because things were looking great for her.

Since she had spent more time with him, she was now anole to control things she hadn’t before. Like her clothing and hair. Now she wore a black skirt with a red blouse and tall, knee-length boots. Her red hair was curled slightly, and a black headband was keeping it from getting on her face. She was dressed in uniform- which was weird- but it felt so… her, in a way.

"Lucky me, get to wake up to an angel," he grumbled, throat scratchy from literally not eating or hydrating for....however long it had been. Actually, he was really feeling starving and he'd just woken up. Was his body not going to wake him if he got so severely hungry?" He slowly sat up, stretching and aching, letting his body loosen somehow.

“Oh, I’ve missed you…” Janelle said with a grin, leaning in to keep him from getting up as she pressed her lips against his for a kiss she had been waiting for from the moment she told him to sleep. This was also just an excuse to run her hand over his body- only his back and arms- and gently press down on parts she knew were aching. She could do nothing about his hunger, though- nothing but lead him to the nearest blood bags she had seen other students hide for themselves. “So very much…”

Rowan smiled when she kissed him, though it was still sleepy. He had a while before he'd be fully awake. He stretched out his shoulders, not registering right away how much she was touching him. "How long was I asleep?" He asked, then rubbed his stomach. He'd have to leave for some blood very soon, lest he get some bloodlust.

“A few days…” She replied, kissing him again before shifting to lay her head on his chest. “I can’t feel you still don’t have a lot of your energy, though. So you’ll have to sleep again- once you eat, of course.”

"I asked you not to let me sleep that long," he said, frowning. How many days was a "few" anyway? "I need to check on Raelynn too. I can rest after that." He probably wouldn't rest after that but even now he knew he needed to. She was right, he still didn't feel very rested.

“And I told you I wasn’t going to wake you up if you were not ready to.” She replied, raising an eyebrow at him before she shrugged a shoulder. “She’s still asleep, and the doctors are giving it a few more days before they try a different tactic. But as of now, her other friends are watching over her.”

Rowan still frowned, worried because she was knocked out the entire time he'd been out too. "I still want to see her," he said. "But thank you for getting updates." He had a feeling she had stayed with him most of the time but she'd still checked and he was glad. "I should start keeping blood bags in here again..."

Janelle shrugged a shoulder at his appreciation, and glanced towards the mini fridge she had spotted before. “If you get dressed I can show you were the closest ones are.”

Rowan just nodded and got up stiffly to change. It was getting a little better, but he still felt so heavy it was hard to move easily. It would wear off soon, hopefully, and hopefully it wasn't just because he was still exhausted. He went to the bathroom to change and came back promptly. "Alright, let's hurry," he said, depending on her to find him a stash without many people on the way. A heartbeat would drive him crazy.

Janelle only stood up and headed to the hall, and she knew it was weird to look at when she went through it like… well, a ghost. But she had to make sure no one was there.

Rowan seemed more awake when he saw her go right through to the hall. He knew she was a ghost, but seeing it was still a new thing. And that was when he registered that she also looked more....vibrant and real than usual. She'd even changed her outfit. Could she do that before?
