"Yeah, I'm hungry," he said absently, some things trying to work their way through his mind. However none of it was making sense so he tried to shake it off. "Do you want to go to the food court?"

“I already ate.” She replied, shrugging as she wrapped her arms around his waist. “So how about you go get something and I’ll wait for you here? I don’t really feel like going out.”

He slipped an arm around her which he figured was okay since she was basically hugging him. "I could, but I'd also have to change first," he pointed out. He'd been wearing these clothes for....too long. Even he could smell himself.

“How is that any different from before?“ she asked, since she had hoped he’d change and hopefully shower before going to get himself something to eat.

"It isn't, but you'd still be waiting for me. It will feel extra long since there's not much here to entertain you," he warned, though...that should be obvious. His room was quite sparse, luckily also of dirty laundry.

“I’m fine with waiting.” She replied, giving him another kiss before going over to sit on one of the chairs nearby and sitting down on it.

"If you're sure," he said and gave a small shrug. He grabbed up some hopefully clean clothes - he'd gotten into a bad habit of stuffing the dirty stuff back in with the clean so his room didn't look messy - and headed to the bathroom for a quick shower. Hopefully the steam would help his head hurt less.

Janelle waited for him to get in the shower before she stood up, peeking into his open drawers and closet. She looked back in the direction of the bathroom before going over to sit nearby it again, bored despite the fact that she had spent all these years doing the same thing- watching and just.... waiting.

Rowan tried not to take too long showering, so when he came out, fully dressed and fully clean, his hair was still sort of damp. He hadn't taken the time to really wash it, but it had to get a little wet. "Are you sure you don't want to come get food with me?" He asked, feeling weird about leaving her alone there.

"I'm sure." She replied, standing up again when he got out. "I have to do a few things, anyways. So I'll just come back here by the time I'm done?"

"Are you sure you don't want me to meet you at your room instead?" He offered. Not that he'd ever been to her room but he could find it without much problem.

"I'm sure." She replied, because although she was smart, she wasn't smart enough to come up with a lie.

"Okay sure," he said and went to slip his shoes on. He didn't mind meeting her back here if she wanted to, though he also wondered why she never wanted him to go by her room. It was...weird among other weird things.

Janelle waited for a moment before she went over to wrap her arms around him from behind, lowering her head to press her lips over his neck. Hopefully this would be enough to make him stop questioning just how strange she was- as well as let him know she was still very interested in him, despite how off putting she was sometimes.

"You're making me not want to leave," Rowan told her, craning to look back at her over his shoulder. "It would be easier to if you came with...." He tried again to entice her to come with. It was easier to get the energy to do it if he wasn't by himself.

“But then you wouldn’t be given the opportunity to miss me..” She replied, laughing a little as she kissed him on the lips this time. “Where’s the fun in that?”

He breathed a laugh. "Alright fine. I'll make sure to miss you while I'm gone so this isn't pointless," he said and gave her another kiss. Right then, his stomach growled like it hadn't been treated properly in two days and he was forced to admit he was really hungry. "I've got to go. Be back soon."

“Don’t take long.” She replied, smiling a little as she pulled away once he made peace with having to leave to eat something.

"I won't," he said and winked at her before heading to the door, so he could let her out too. She said she had other things to do after all.

Janelle rolled her eyes jokingly before she stood up, goi no over to the open door. She knew she’d be able to get back in once he was gone, but… she did have someone to check up on before she did.

Janelle sat on the floor besides Rowans dorm room door, staring blankly at the wall as she waited for him to arrive. she thankfully didnt have to worry about explaining why no one told her to get up, since no one had actually passed during her stay there. She was too deep in thought to come up with a good lie, anyways.

Rowan was full up of food and pleased with himself for doing it. But there were a lot of hard conversations ahead of him that he didn't want to face but would be facing very soon. In quick succession too. He had his hands in his pockets as he neared his room and noticed her at his door. "Were you waiting long?"

"No longer than usual." Janelle said, looking up at him from her spot before holding her hand out to his so that he'd pick her up.

Rowan grabbed her wrist firmly, knowing from past experience that he would just pull her hand out of joint, and pulled her up with ease. Why wait for her to figure out how to stand? "That's good. Now remind me, whst were we doing today?"

"We... are staying in today. To watch some movies." She replied, smiling a bit as she waved at his door. "I heard there are some new releases."

"I guess, but I don't have a TV," he said, warning though she'd already been in and seen. "I do have a laptop though. It will just be a little small. Unless you have a better idea?"

“That’s fine.” She replied, holding onto his hand despite being bothered by who had held it before. Actually, she held it because she was bothered- bothered that he’d allow another to touch him when he was supposed to be hers, no one else’s.

He looked down at their hands when neither one had yet let go. He didn't feel a drain...maybe he'd been imagining it. Surely he was being silly. He shook his head a little and just unlocked his door so they could go in. "What kind of movies do you like?" he asked.

“Historical kinds.” She replied, waiting for him to open the door before stepping it. She had known before hand that it was empty, which made her wonder where his roommate was because she never actually saw him.

"Like...documentaries?" he asked, following her into the room though he still held her hand. "Or like...stuff more like Gladiator and 300 or something." That was the only historical stuff he'd watched and he was pretty sure it was all fake. "Oh, or a Knight's Tale?"

“Whatever you want.” Janelle replied, going over to sit on the bed. She honestly didn’t know what movies he was talking about, since she never really got the opportunity to watch whatever movie she would be interested in. Just whatever was on the tv or on the computers around her.

"That doesn't really answer my question," Rowan pointed out and went to grab the laptop out of it's case near his desk. "I want to know what you like first before we pick something to watch."

“I don’t have a preference.” She replied, crossing her arms as she waited for him to come back. “I don’t think I’ve even heard of either one of them.”

"Well you said you like historical, so we might as well try them, huh?" He stopped short when he had the laptop in his hands, wondering how this was going to go. Where to put it, where to sit, he just wasn't sure. "So um.... Do you want me to hold it?*

“Yes.” She replied, since it wasn’t like she’d be able to. She patted the spot besides her, smiling a bit. “If you can.”

"Sure I can," he said and sat himself beside her when she basically asked. He was new to this whole thing and admittedly a little nervous because this was so....new. With her anyway.

Janelle waited for him to sit besides her before she leaned her head against his shoulder, looking at the screen. “Is that Tom Hanks?” She asked, pointing towards the one titled “Sully”.

Rowan glanced at her and smiled a little because she was getting comfortable and he figured he could too. "Yeah, it is. Do you want to watch that one?" He offered. He'd never seen it but if it looked interesting to her that was fine with him.

“Yes.” She replied, tilting her head to the side to smile over at him when he looked at her. She liked that he did it a lot- as if he couldn’t quite believe she was there. He wasn’t that far off either.

He smiled back at her when she looked up at him, hoping she didn't find it odd that he kept doing it. "Then that's the one," he said and clicked on Sully so that it would start to play.

Janelle smiled again before shifting so that she was closer against him, glad to be able to feel the warmth of his body against her skin.

Rowan shifted to settle in so she could see, and so he was more comfortable, and...maybe because he wanted to be closer to her. But somehow he was wondering if he was going to make it through the movie too because he almost felt sleepy again. Probably because he hadn't done much moving around yet.

Janelle stopped looking at the movie when she felt a tingling in her arm, somewhat surprised to see her skin look paler. She looked at it for a moment more before she sat up, shifting so that she was at Rowans level. Then, without asking if he wanted to, she leaned in to press her lips against his

Rowan paused the movie when she started moving, figuring she was ready for a bathroom break or something with how abrupt it was. What it was instead was perhaps more startling. It took a second for him to register kissing back, but he did. Oddly sleepy as he was, he was awake and aware enough for that.

Janelle was relieved to see the natural color to return to her skin, no longer pale enough that it would look like she was one foot too close to death. she could have- should have, really- stopped kissing Rowan then, because she had enough energy in her already. But there was something about his soft lips against hers- his hard body that was closer to that of a mans than it was to a boy- that kept her close to him. So she kissed him deeply, pulling his face closer to hers as the movie was practically forgotten.

Already Rowan had been feeling sleepy, though he'd told himself it was the movie. But as their kiss continued, he was beginning to feel weaker. It wasn't so much, but he'd been suspicious and so he noticed. And he knew a kiss like this wasn't supposed to feel like that. So he broke it and pulled back to look at her. "Janelle..." He started, but didn't know how to ask what he needed to. Every way he could think of it would go very badly. But he needed to be straightforward or else he wouldn't know. "What are you?"

“What?” Janelle asked, having been a little distracted when he pulled away. She couldn’t be breathless or light headed, but she supposed this was as close as she could get.

"You're doing something to me," Rowan said, a little breathless himself. "I don't understand what it is but I know it's happening. What are you?" He didn't believe she was doing it intentionally, but he knew it was happening. Before he'd been suspicious but now he was sure.

“Will it change anything?” She asked, reaching out to place her hand on his cheek. She wasn’t sure if the question was for him or for herself. “Does it even matter at this point?”
