"Maybe I'll play baseball again when you're a brunette again," Bolt answered, amused. "What's your fascination with sports, anyway? Do you know all the rules or do you just like watching people get sweaty?"

"I just think your devotion to sports is interesting and I don't understand it," Bolt admitted and then reached up to pull her down for another kiss. "You'll just have to take what little sports you can get out of me. And it is just a little."

"I know that you cannot," Bolt answered and let go of her because he didn't want her getting any ideas on swaying him. His time was already quite full. "Don't tell me that this baseball is the most interesting thing you found in my room."

"Do you need something to wear on the way there?" Bolt offered, even as he was smiling up at her. It wasn't surprising that Wednesday caused so much trouble, and it was amusing, but he wished she wasn't interfering in their time.

"I didn't ruin the dress. You told me not to," Bolt reminded her. Still none of her other clothes survived and he didn't blame her for not wanting to put the dress back on. "When you let me get up, I'll grab you something."

Bolt laughed. "No, I guarantee there's no women's clothes in here. There hasn't been a girl in here I wasn't related to since I was fourteen and I wasn't interested in girls then." He kissed her again before getting out of bed and going to his closet to find a black T-shirt and some very old boxers that should be small enough for her.

"Working out is unnecessary," he said, flashing a smile at her over his shoulder. "And like I told you, it's unsatisfying." He pulled the clothes out and held them out to her. "They're going to be too big, but I don't mind if you don't."

"Do I not have enough muscle for you? Is that it?" He asked, amused but letting her pull him back into his bed. "You're so desperate to have me work out with you?"

"Your emphatic denial is suspicious," Bolt teased. He didn't mind what she thought regardless because it wasn't like he would or could change. "I don't know what it would take for me to bulk up, honestly. It would probably take a long time."

"Never. But I really haven't met that many vampires. Though I suppose if there weren't any at the wedding, there probably aren't any bulky vampires at all, or else very very few," Bolt said, considering it. There was enough variation in the Cordoval family that there would be at least one body builder, right?

Bolt leaned in to kiss her briefly again since he couldn't help himself. He just liked it too much. "What do you have to do today?" He asked, hoping it was nothing. He didn't have anything either so relaxing together seemed ideal.

Bolt sighed and wrapped his arms around her. "No, I don't want you to cancel. I just wanted us to be lazy together. We can do that another time, though." He had hoped she could check on Wednesday and come back but that wasn't going to happen if she was having breakfast with the girls. It wasn't even something he should invite himself to.

"I'm not doing anything today. Maybe going to the garage for a little while, but the parts I need aren't coming until tomorrow," he answered and brushed a finger down her cheek. "Are you asking me out on a date?" he teased. As much as he wanted to be around her, he didn't want to pull her away from her friends right away. They could find time without her having to cut their time short.

"If we're dating, that means your job is to feed me, right? No more complaining that I eat all your snacks?" Bolt asked instead, his lazy smile growing. "I could deal with that, I think. But nothing fancy. I just wore a suit yesterday."

"Does this make me the gold digger?" Bolt asked, teasing her about that too. He couldn't care less about the money, of course, but he had a feeling she would be offering a lot. She already had started, but this was a topic they'd have to discuss. "I don't want you to cut your time with the girls short."

"I just mean that I don't want you to ditch them for me. They're important," Bolt said. Friends that tight shouldn't be ditched just because of a new beau, even if that beau was also their friend. As she turned to grab the shirt, his eye caught on something he hadn't noticed before. "You have a lower back tattoo?" he asked, clear surprise in his voice.

Bolt cared about the friend thing but knew there was no convincing her, so he moved on to that "birthmark" that looked way too intricate to be a birthmark. And she seemed just a little bit dodgy about that. Unfortunately, his shirt was so big on her that it was covered up quickly and he was left only with the memory to study. "Yeah, I do," he said and got up to grab them for her. "Not that you'll want to keep them, but don't worry about returning these clothes. They're too small for me anyway."

"Maybe I hope my diet works and I'll fit into them again," Bolt said plainly but was clearly joking. As if there was any weight on him to be lost. Truth was he just didn't clean out his closet that much because he usually wore his clothes through. "No, I'm not into skirts and corsets don't fit my body type."

Bolt slipped his arms around her waist and leaned down to kiss her. This position was so cliche and yet it was so comfortable that he understood and wasn't about to complain. "I'm sure. You have to dish all your secrets from last night, right? It's best if I'm not there."

"Alright, I'll let you know," Bolt said and leaned in to give her a good kiss, more than all the little pecks they'd be giving each other all morning. It was different and substantial, maybe something to hold them over for the day. "We can figure out this evening later, okay?"

"I will dress...in clothes," Bolt said, unaware of what she considered nicely. It wasn't like she critiqued his clothing closely when they were just friends or when she wanted to be free of his presence. He chuckled when she pinched him and let her go. "I'll see you later."

"Have fun," Bolt said, following her to the door so he could close it as she left. He wouldn't put it past her to not use the magical delivery service just to make him carry the bags. Not that he would mind, it would just be silly.
--End--

“I think men spend so much time rotting away in front of the screens.” Gen said, oh so many weeks later. He’d finally agreed to taking her to prom, and she’d finally enrolled in the academy. As a higher grade, obviously, because she knew enough to skip a couple of years.
Now she laid down on the foot of the bed as Bolt and Blaze played some video game together in what really should have been silence. Maybe playing video games would have ended their silence streak a long time ago because they were being so loud right now.
“That doesn't seem very fair. It's not like we play very often,” Bolt said, rolling his eyes a bit. Together, he and his brother hadn't played in….a very long time. By himself, it still wasn't frequent. It seemed like a complaint from boredom. “You could play too, you know.”

“If you want to play, just say so,” Bolt told her, not addressing that because it was silly. He didn't really have the patience, which might be because the game was consuming more of his attention that would allow patience.
“You could take my controller,” Blaze offered, feeling bad that he would be the one hogging it.
