Rejected by Bookbub - again

Hi Peter, which genre did you submit your book through? I've had the most luck through SciFi for my dystopian novels, although I have been rejected a couple times before finally being accepted.
Also, how many reviews do you have on Amazon and Goodreads? When my books were finally accepted by BookBub they had more than 100 5-star reviews on Amazon, and more than 500 ratings on Goodreads. A great way to improve your chances is to focus on getting reviews on Amazon and Goodreads by giving away copies other ways, like through Read to Reviews.
Hope this helps and best of luck with your next BookBub submission!

Thanks for the answer and advice. I submitted the book to the SciFi category.
So far the book has 25 reviews with 4.2 average rating, which is better than some books Bookbub have run with. But, I guess I'll have to track down more reviews, though that can be like pushing a car up a hill, lol.
I am running with a 15-20 blog tour in July, so that should land me with some more reviews.
Regards
Peter
OK cool, sounds like you're doing the right things to try to get the car up the hill :) They are definitely a bit fickle sometimes about what they accept and what they reject, but sometimes they accept ones with a lower number of reviews if it's a sequel or they've accepted another book by the same author. In any case, it's not easy to get accepted, I've found that out the hard way a few times! Best of luck and keep on trucking, my friend :)
Only to receive Bookbub's standard rejection email :(
I wrote back to them and asked for more to work with - I wanted to know why they rejected it.
And I'm delighted that they replied with three links to instruct me how to increase my chances of getting my book accepted next time. Here are the links:
