The Time of My Life question

Hi! I need help with finding a tiny little thing discussed in the novel The Time of my Life and writing a thesis on it. My thesis statement before was the concept of life portrayed as a human being but my professor rejected the statement saying that I can't work on something that is clearly evident and obvious in the novel.
