anyone else think that aedion being bi was a very bad representation of bisexuality?

I don't know. I feel like a lot of authors just throw in stuff like that to seem more 'inclusive' because then people freak and get sooooo offended that there's no representation even though it's perfectly fine to not have an LGBT+ person in books because not everyone is that way and it's probably possible, if unlikely, to go through life without meeting someone like that. Aedion being bi just seemed like something thrown in there to not piss people off on the fact that SJM has 'no representation' or whatever.

But like, Aedion is still one of my absolute favorite characters and he deserves better and I wish he could just be happy because like many of SJM's characters he deserves to be loved and cherished and to get a break.
