Yay! In EoS I wasn't really bothered by her character but lol did that change. I found myself counting the pages to Elide chapters. Elide has become one of my favourite characters and rushing through Aelin's to get back to her.

I really loved her dedication to finding Celeana, and how pure her intentions were. You know, in this book there are so many characters with different motives, but with Elide it was a nice change. That's the only way I can describe her- pure.

Elide also didn't let her disabilities stop her from doing things like yesssss girl get it. I know in some cases this could be a bad thing- I like to use Feyre from ACOTAR as an example bc although yes, we should push our limits etc, I feel like sometimes her actions were stupid and unnecessarily life threatening. I didn't feel this happen with Elide.

And can I just say ***SPOILERS*** when she was about to kill herself I was crying so hard. I'm not a cryer, it was just so heartbreaking that she truly felt that alone. This is real life stuff, you know?
It also killed me when she constantly put herself down- like saying she wouldn't be of use to the court and she'd even do their washing??? My poor child ughhh. I really just wanted to give Elide a big ol hug and tell her she is valuable and needed.

Lastly, I SHIP ELIDE AND LORCAN SO HARD IT HURTS. It was beautiful how Lorcan slowly came to realise that Elide wasn't the useless girl he first thought. I really do hope she forgives Lorcan *stares intensely at SJM* even though what he did was freaking stupid.

I love her and have really enjoyed all of her POV in the books. I found that sad as well when she felt all she would be good for the Court would be washing clothes and dishes. It is never too late to learn to read. I was thinking while I read that it's okay Aelin or someone will get you a tutor.

I really teared up reading her and Aelin's reunion scene.

I love her and Lorcan's relationship. I'd say they are currently my favorite pairing. I hope she can come to forgive him and they get their relationship back on track. I think they will as I don't think it's a coincidence that the God's that guide them are married.

I just love Elide. She's so strong and assertive and clever and I love her and Lorcan's relationship. I hope she forgives him because OTP.

So, I really disliked Elide in QoS, but in EoS she was sooo good. She has this sort of quiet strength, much different from Aelin's but just as tough. She's really clever and I love it.
