Would you want to be a Librarian? Why or why not?

Would living outside of time and space be worth it to be a Librarian? Could you handle dangerous situations in order to steal priceless books?

Even though the Library is questionably corrupt (which I hope Cogman explores in further books), I would love to be a Librarian. It would be fascinating to see other dimensions and time periods, plus it would be nice to live a really nice long life within the Library itself. Irene went through a lot in this novel, but she did seem to genuinely love her job, and as a book lover myself, I think I would too.
