Chapter 14 (view spoiler)[ Awh, I miss these characters, especially Newt! I feel really bad for all of them, taken from their families and isolated :( It's crazy seeing them before the Maze, knowing Thomas was actually Stephan. (hide spoiler)]

chapter 33 (view spoiler)[ I feel like this is a little slow. It was crazy when they put Thomas and the others in the crank pit and poor Minho ☹ Its cool seeing how the telepathy started also. There's just not a ton of action, maybe it will pick up. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 46 (view spoiler)[ I feel so bad for the kids in the maze, especially poor George. It would be hard to be Thomas and Teresa, sending your friends in to that. But Teresa is already showing her loyalty to WICKED that we see later. And now they know that several staff have the Flare. The 'Purge' sounds pretty scary. (hide spoiler)]

Finished! (view spoiler)[ Wow, so that's how Newt got his limp. Poor guy. And Teresa was always a lying liar! The book worded is perfectly, she thinks the ends justify the means. And Ava is a stone cold bitch. This was really interesting to see how it all began and motivations behind all that happened. It really makes me want to read the other books now! (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 1-20: (view spoiler)[ I am really enjoying this book. I am happy to see the characters and being back in this world. It is really interesting to read about their time with WICKED. I never knew that Sonya was Newt’s sister. It is sad to see that they do not remember being brother and sister. I really like how Teresa’s story continues from the story of Kill Order. Also, I really like how Newt and Thomas’s story pick up from when the WICKED took them. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 21-40: (view spoiler)[ It seems like the WICKED wanted George to die because they only care about their variables. I wonder how Thomas, Teresa, and Chuck feel about their friends being in the glade. Things in the glade are now getting worse and it must be difficult to see that your friends are in the glade. Chapter 51: (view spoiler)[ I did not like how Teresa was all for killing the cranks. I do not think it needed to be done, and I think it was not right to tell Thomas that it had to be done either. Also, I thought it was annoying that she was just holding a gun, while the other people were doing the killing. (hide spoiler)]

Ending Thoughts: (view spoiler)[ This was a great read. This book gave me more insight about what happened to Thomas before he entered the maze. I also liked the action and suspense. I give this book a 4/5 star rating. (hide spoiler)]
