My better half happened across another awesome climate change documentary that was replayed by NatGeo before a repeat showing of Before the Flood. The award-winning "Chasing Ice" proves that, in the realm of glacial retreat, a picture (or time-lapse series of pictures) really is worth a thousand words.

I plan on watching it today - one of my students said that it is only going to be available to watch for free for only a short period of time. So just in case...

I just finished watching the film - very impressive. Put together nicely with interviews from experts, going across the planet, and of course, beautiful and tragic visuals.

For most of the people here, it contains a lot of information that they most likely already know.

But great for people who don't know a lot about climate change.

One thing - and this goes for many of the books and documentaries that I read/watch on climate change - not enough on solutions. There was the one segment on Elon Musk's ideas - wish there were more of that type of thing.

And the other segment I really liked was his conversation with the woman in India about how America needs to lead the way - we consume the most, and if we can't get it done or don't have the political or personal will to get it done, then it won't get done elsewhere and America can't/shouldn't blame the other countries. Just loved it when she was shaking her head 'no' as Leo was trying to justify our non-action.

Lastly, powerful ending...won't give a spoiler! :-)
