"Um, I think you misunderstand. This is the only plant in my possession. The plants I study are too dangerous to keep," Jackson said. "Why are you laughing?"
Ching sighed. "I tried to make a joke...because you study plants, so I could make the ground good for plants?"
"It's- er- unlike any joke I've hear before, about plants," he said, straining to laugh. (He still isn't sure what her powers are)
Ching could tell he ha dno idea what she was saying so she flopped onto the couch. 'Sorry about...that."
He laughed for real, "It's alright, I'll just have to get used to you being from somewhere I didn't even know existed."
"Yeah, according to my sister, there numbered. Personally, I don't know what number I'm from," He said.

The young Avatar rubbed her head. 'It doesn't make any sense. I mena...I know there's another world...the Spirit World...but other Earths?"
"I feel like the spirit world is specific to your world though," Jackson said. "There's something like it where I'm from but only a mirror like perception. You need a special stone to see the dead."
"The dead?" Ching widened her eyes in understanding. "Oh it's not a place for the dead. Most od the time anyways. It's an alternate world nothing like ours that is home to all sorts of ancient and powerful beings."
"I don't think it's classified with the other words, when it's connected to yours," Jackson said.
He sighed heavily. "Seriously," he grumbled, "You said the only other world you knew of was the spirit world. But that world only exists when it's linked to your home world."
"The spirits that are there probably only exist in your home world," Jackson said. "They'd have to be from there. But I guess, since you don't know anything." He tapped his wand on the couch. "I can try to make you levitate."
"I can do that myself," she said, crossing her arms. "My airbending lets me float. Sort of at least"
"I can do it without you doing it," he said. "I can't do anything if you say 'anything'. I need ideas."
"That sounds gross," Jackson said. "I don't think so, I mean there are three unforgivable curses. Imperious curse- that one is a spell that makes people do things against their own free will."
(Funny cuz silver and Elena are blood benders- similar concept to avatar)

"It's not really gross so much as terrifying. Bloodbending can make you do things against your will too." Ching paused, trying to think of how to explain. "Do you know what a marionette puppet is?"
"Well, the victim is the puppet and the bloodbender is the puppeteer, while the bloodbending itself is the strings. It was outlawed during Avatar Aang's life."
"Definitely sounds similar to the imperious curse, though it's more mind control," he said. "Then there's the cruciartus curse; the torture curse."
"But does that,....whatever you said...involve the movement of water in the body, or do you just wave something that does it for you?"
Jackson frowned at her. "No it doesn't. I just said they sounded similar. And a wand doesn't do it for me. If you don't have magic than is wand is a useless stick."
Ching tapped her chin, thinking. "So i guess a wand is like bending. SOme people can use it and it does the work; you just have to learn how to control it so it does that you want."
"Well, my wand focus my magic for me. Without it, magic is unpredictable, unless you're skilled in wandless spells," Jackson said. "It's typical how people discover they are wizards in the first place. Things happen when they are angry or scared, things they can't explain. Not for me though. All my family is magic."
He nodded. "Yep. Though there are muggle born students. Non-magic parent," he explained. "It's really rare to be a squibb- magic parents and no magic of 'ur own."
Ching nodded. 'That cna happen with benders too. Though I guess it's more common. Avatar Aang married a waterbender and they had a nonbending child. His wife's parents were nonbenders and so was her brother. I think Toph's parents couldn't earthbend. It's hard to say why either one happens, but it does. Quite often too."
"They're legendary. They helped end the Hundred Years War." Ching sighed. "I just wish I could speak to Aang...but it's impossible. I can't contact him."
She bit her lip. "I mean...maybe. It might not be possible. I haven't been able to contact any of my past lives. Well, except for Korra."
Jackson frowned, obviously uneasy. "Why can't you explain it? I explain everything to you. Or at least tried."
Ching bit her lip. "i'm sorry. I just thought you might be able to figure it out. My past livers are, well...lives in the past. People i once was but no longer am."
