Terra rolled her eyes, scoffing indignantly at that. "Not controlling?! You're literally yelling at me because you don't like how I'm living my life and helping my friend! How is that not controlling?! If you had your way, you'd keep me on a leash to be by your side every minute of every day! Better yet, you'd lock me away like Belle or something!"

"I'm not controlling anything!" Rowan insisted, his fist tightening when she likened him to the beast. It hit deep, since he always thought that of himself. "I stepped aside when you pushed me away, and I got you help when you came back to your senses. Do you think that if I was controlling you I would let you see Jeremy nearly as often as you do? But if you want to see me as the monster, fine! I'm the monster! You should have realized that before I made you into a vampire too!"

“I didn’t ask to be made a vampire! You turned me because you took too much blood because you pissed off the waiter! I don’t remember having a say in it other than offering some blood so you would have enough to not tear into the first living being you saw!” Terra shouted back, tears of anger replacing the ones of guilt and sadness from earlier.

"And how many other times before that was it obvious that I had no control?!" Rowan asked, shouting to the point of being bothered by his own voice. "You knew I was a monster first, and you stuck around. You just keep sacrificing yourself, you don't even have a life of your own anymore! Pity, guilt, where's your own life? I bet it died with your family!" The second the words were out of his mouth, he regretted it. He didn't even know where it had come from, but it was out. He shook his head, wanting to take it back. "No, I-"

Terra’s eyes went wide in horror and she stepped away from him, looking at him in pure disgust and horror at his words. How dare he say that? How dare he bring up her family when he had countless people of his own? “Stay away from me, Rowan,” She choked out, her voice strained in anger and grief. “Stay the hell away from me today, tomorrow, stay away. We are done.” At those last three words, a sob barely managed to break from her throat. She knew if she stayed in the room a moment longer, she’d break down. Terra turn and headed towards her dorm as quickly as her vampire speed was capable of.

"No, Terra, I didn't mean it," Rowan said desperately, wanting to take it back. He needed to take it back. "I-" It felt like his heart was ripped out of his chest when she said they were done. And it was his fault, all his fault. And he didn't mean...most of what he said. He'd take it all back if there was a way, but she was gone before he had a chance. But he still said it in her wake, "I'm sorry..."

On a very normal day, with a beautiful temperature, Briella had dragged Isla out to go shopping. She would have brought her sister as well, but hadn't wanted to disrupt her while she was just starting to get settled. Isla hadn't wanted to go shopping either, but Briella insisted that they get her more than the five dresses she had been wearing, especially with an event coming up. The clothes they'd found were a little too....modern for Isla's comfort, but Briella bargained with her to get them, on the pretense that she would make Isla some more dresses that she was more used to. They'd been walking and talking and had settled in the common room for a little while so they could have some tea before returning to their rooms and making room in closets.

Along the way, Briella had begun teasing Isla about how Caden might like her new clothes, and Isla laughed along for a little while until it was almost insufferable. So she changed the subject instead. "What about your boyfriend? I know I haven't met him, but wouldn't he like your new clothes as well?"

"Maybe," Brielle said, but didn't seem convinced or rather....didn't care. "I have been....avoiding a little."

"Avoiding? Why?" Isla asked, frowning a little. Normally she wouldn't ask or pry, but Briella always spoke like an open book so she felt comfortable asking.

"I dont know how to tell him I don't know how long we'll last," Briella admitted, and then elaborated. "It's just that.... I like him, I do. But not romantically. I'm not attracted to him like that. He isn't.... masculine at all. Which is fine, it's just not the type I picture marrying. I seriously want to be his friend, but I'm not sure he'll understand that's all we'll ever be."

Isla kept quiet, already having learned far more than she had wanted to. Yet she had a feeling that Briella just needed to say things aloud sometimes.

While the girls had been talking for a while, Feliciano himself was preparing to drop in on Briella unannounced, planning to show her some new masks he was thinking of maybe showing off at an art festival somewhere. He knew she enjoyed his masks and also wanted some input on her since he was stuck on some of the designs. He remembered Briella was in Marauders and headed there, not finding her in her dorm when he knocked and she never answered. It never once occurred to him to just text her, because then it wouldn't be a surprise! She'd be happy to see him unannounced, he was sure of it.

He decided to check the common room next, especially after hearing voices. He nearly walked inside before he stopped, hearing a serious tone of voice from Briella. His dad always told him it was improper to listen in on the private conversations of girls, but...something was rooting him to that spot, especially as it became obvious Briella was talking about him. Once she finished speaking, he bit his lip so he wouldn't gasp and reveal he was there, and just quietly walked away, feeling sullen. The thought of the masks or anything similar just vanished from his mind completely.

"I adore him, I do," Briella continued, unaware that Feliciano had heard anything she said. "And I think he'd be a great business partner, since he has such a decorative eye. And I think he'd make someone really happy some day, just not me."

"If I may...offer any advice at all," Isla said. "You should just break it off. Prolonging it will only make him unhappy, and yourself as well. If you're sure it's inevitable, it's best not to delay."

Briella sighed, hating that she was right. "You...you're right. I should. I haven't thought about it that way, but....I should do it. And hope for the best."

After that, their conversation changed direction into something lighter, as Briella continued on with topics that didn't make her uncomfortable. And they were both happier for it.

Anara nodded as she let go of his hand. "Yes, I said that already. I have no idea why I'm in Marauders, but that's where I am. My roommate isn't bad. I will go look for the supplies,"

"I'll wait here I guess." He flopped onto the couch and put his hands behind his head to stretch out

Anara looked around for her painting supplies and found them neatly placed in a desk and took them out. Instead of having a huge easel, she had more of a sketch-pad-like thing that she slowly tapped an ink pen against. "What to paint though, that's the question," She was sitting in a position that made it easy for Dante to see what she was doing.

Dante looked at her backside before moving his head to glance at the sketchpad. "What do you normally paint?"

"Whatever I want. Sometimes Aunt Yuliana guides me but otherwise I am on my own. I do like landscapes," She explained.

She shook her head. "I can paint something from memory...from home,"

Anara started inking something. "According to you, all they would have to do is look in a history book,"

"History books don't always have pictures. And not everything gets a picture in those that do."

"It's not like Imperial Russia is gone though...well, maybe the Imperial part but Russia still remains," Anara responded, still inking. "I imagine everything that existed back in 1845 is still there now...maybe even more stuff! Maybe even more fancy palaces and things like that!"

Dante stayed eerily quiet. Of course he wasn't the most talkative person but he didn't give any kind of response, not a shift in movement, not even a grunt.

Anara looked up at that, curious. "What's wrong? Did something bad happen to my home?"

((She was born there but raised in Russia, but she has a lot of ties to Kazakhstan because one of her possible fathers is Kazakh so she knows some cultural stuff, and she'd still likely be considered Russian anyway because it was owned by Russia back then))

Dante shook his head. "Let's just...focus on the painting for now."

Anara stared at him slightly but returned to her painting. Some of her heat started making the ink bubble but she forced herself to calm down and focus.

From where Dante was sitting, he couldn't see the ink bubble so he assumed nothing was wrong. "Are you painting nature or a city?"

"Neither. I think a palace," Anara said. "The Imperial Palace as I remember it anyway,"

Anara had been drawing for a while before she looked up at Dante. "You didn't fall asleep or anything, did you? You've been incredibly quiet," She asked in slight annoyance, ready to punch him awake if need be.

Katherine was in Kyuusho house but ever since Bo had moved in to Mauraders, she'd been spending more time in the common room here with him. At least she did whenever she could. She hadn't been feeling like herself lately.

Today, she was doing a partner project that they were assigned in Science. Her partner was Terra. Kat was pretty sure that they would get along alright. After all, the girl was dating her cousin or something.

Terra frowned a bit as she headed to the common rooms to work on the project. Katherine was a member of Rowan's family, she knew that much. And Cormac hated Rowan's family. So now it was awkward on two fronts. Great.

Terra shook her head. Just get through the project. Then you never have to see her again. Terra smiled half heartedly when she saw Katherine and waved in greeting. "Hey, so uh, where do you wanna start?" She asked, sitting down at the table and pulling her laptop out. The sooner they finished the better. She was planning on hanging out with Cormac today and the last thing she needed was him showing up while Katherine was around.

"Hey, Terra," Katherine greeted warmly. "Did you get a chance to look over the hand out? I made a few choices on what I thought might be interesting to do as a project. Granted, they aren't the easiest. I'm open to whatever you pick."

“No sorry, I didn’t get the chance,” Terra replied. She’d been busy between special lessons, Cormac, and all her other course work. Plus, running into Rowan had taken a bit of a toll on her. “Whatever you feel we could do the best job on I’m sure will be fine.”

"I am a bit of an over achiever on most days but I think we can go with the semi-challenging galaxy in a bottle," Katherine told her.

“Sure that sounds fine,” Terra replied, not really paying too much attention. She really just wanted to get this project over and done with. “What would you need me to do for that?”

"Well we have to get the right ingredients but most of them are pretty rare," Katherine said, looking over the list before showing it to her.

She was typically really good add reading people and thought that Terra didn't want to be there. Hopefully it was because of the project and not because of her. What had she done?

Terra looked over the ingredients list and pursed her lips slightly when she saw Katherine was right. A lot of them would be hard to get. Maybe some could be found in town at an apothecary shop? “Any Chance Killian or Gray might help us locate some?” She asked off hand.

She hadn’t talked to Gray in awhile. Oddly enough she had remained injury free lately. Hard to get hurt when you barely leave the room anymore.

Kat's eyebrows raised slightly in surprise. "That's right. I forgot you know my uncles. Even though it should be obvious since you and Rowan are a thing and all."

She looked at the instructions and how each ingredient needed to be administered. "They might be able to help us. We just have to make sure to add them in the correct order."
