A book series about a nameless assassin operating in Europe. I've read two
of the books in the last 5 or 6 years.

The series is set in modern times, not a world war two thriller.

The assassin is nameless, operates in Europe but in the last book, if I
recall correctly, he comes to the US because he's been entangled by a US
intelligence agency.
