ABANDONED. Pink book about a family from Mars

I'm not sure what the genre is. Most likely YA Fiction.

My friend has been looking for this book for years. She said the book is pink and has a crown on it.

She said it's about a girl who's mother is the Queen of Mars. The girl is technically a princess but tries to live a normal life.

She also mentioned something about the Martians looking like humans. Apparently the Martians can only be differentiated from humans because they bleed green. As such, humans would carry around safety pins to stab people to see if they bleed green.

She describes it as a book that is not very serious. This is all I know about the book. I would love to surprise her by remembering the name.

She is 18 and said she read the book about 10 years ago in 3rd grade.
