Banner of Truth has reprinted many of Owen's works in their Puritan Paperback series. They are modernized and abridged. Now I'm a big fan of reading the originals, but Owen is one tough read! And I read all the Owen titles and was actually pleased how they updated them, especially those by R.K.J. Law. I compared his updates of Communion of God and Glory of Christ with Owen's original, and he did an amazing job keeping true to Owen while modernizing the language and concepts for modern readers. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to read something by John Owen!

My ladies Bible study read the Puritan paperbacks by Banner of Truth - Indwelling sin and Mortification of Sin. They were life changers for all of us.
I had read Owen's original, looking for something for our group to read. I was very happy with the Puritan paperbacks. The power in Owen's words were present and they were well done.
