"Perhaps I'll force her to relive killing her dragon. Maybe I'll make her feel weak and helpless. All her friends pointing weapons at her. Maybe I'll be in every dream, in a less than villainous way." He gave Adam a horrific smirk.
"Done." It wasn't as if he'd be escaping anyway, with these legs, and with a baby dragon, but the Headmaster didn't need to know that. "One other condition on my part, however."
"My family. You don't look for my family, you don't know anything about my family, and you do not use my family to hurt me. I severed my toes with them when I came here, and you aren't going to bring them back into my life again."
"Deal." He didn't need Adam's family to hurt him. But he decided not to tell him that. "Come with me to the hatcheries."
"I don't think that's possible. There are too many varieties of dragon."
((Aw, I even made a hatchery!))

"Eager, are we?" ((The healing dragon managed to give him a bit of strength to walk a short while, but it wore off. And the headmaster dragged him most of the way.))
The headmaster looked shocked, then smiled. "Well, I suppose you really are of little use to me, after all."
He was breathing heavily. "I-I suppose maybe my legs are... A little... Weak after not being walked on..."
"Slowly?" He asked. This wasn't good. He couldn't even feel his legs at present, let alone stand on them... And from the look on the headmaster's face, he'd already guessed the truth.
"I..." Panting, he gripping the slab he'd been chained to, trying to pull himself to his feet. He couldn't move his legs, and they wouldn't support his weight.
The headmaster kicked him over. "You're no worth to me alive, so you might as well be killed." He drew his sword, holding it over Adam's throat.
Just as he was about to strike, he heard a voice in his head. Not the beast's voice. Not even his own. It was screaming. The thing about bonds was, they worked both ways. Anya was screaming, closer to the bond in her forced unconsciousness then she'd ever been, so close from her double bonding, from the bond-induced unconsciousness, that she'd somehow twisted the bond to stop the Headmaster. Fear filled him, for a split instant. What if those people he'd made to bond more than once, what if his plan to dominate these people... What if they ended up dominating him.
He couldn't make the killing stroke for a few moments, and then he finally lowered his sword. Anya wouldn't let him kill Adam, and she wouldn't let him until she'd woken up. He grabbed Adam's throat and dragged him through the passageways. "Time to choose your egg."

He grinned as he was dragged away. From pain, from exhaustion. Why wasn't he dead? He should be dead. He almost wished he was dead. Why was he being forced to choose an egg? The baby would hate him for being useless, he would be the Headmaster's useless toy for forever, and he would have to live with never being able to walk again. Why.
Maybe, after bonding, the bond would somehow strengthen Adam again, he hoped. He took the boy to the hatcheries.
