Same prize - more modern name these days

Hi! I was just wondering what to do: there is this literary prize in Finland awarded to best debut novel by the biggest newspaper in the country. The award used to be called Helsingin Sanomain Kirjallisuuspalkinto, now it's Helsingin Sanomien Kirjallisuuspalkinto.

Can I merge these awards or do I have to change all the previous names?

You may merge the awards. You may wish to add in the description that it was known as Helsingin Sanomain Kirjallisuuspalkinto prior to [date] (when they changed the name).
