Happy Friday, everyone! We just wanted to check in before the weekend to make sure folks have been able to secure a copy of The Little Paris Bookshop. If not, let us know and we'll help you figure out the best way to get a copy.

If you've got a copy, how's it going so far?!

Y'all have a safe and happy Halloween weekend.

HPL Dan (HPLDan) I got my copy of the book earlier this week, but I have yet to crack the spine. I'll be starting my reading this weekend. Really looking forward to relocating to France for the next little bit. I might even have to make myself some chocolate croissants to get in the right spirit.

Kathleen (katjan29) | 1 comments Not sure if anyone is around, but I finished the book. I'm still trying to decide if I liked it or not. Well, that' s not totally true. I read the 2nd half pretty quickly, but I battled through the first part.

I actually think that one of the greatest characters - the descriptive setting of the small towns - sort of bored me. And I love to travel, so it's not that. Although I do love the idea of a book barge. Maybe I'm just a plot and character person more than a setting. Hmmm..

Although i did love the descriptions of the complex emotions of Jean.

Way to go Kathleen! It's always weird leaving a book and not being sure how you feel about it. I'm glad you stuck it out and thank you for contributing!

If you want a little more French lifestyle here in Houston, check out our list of cookbooks and French restaurants in the other thread. :0)
