falling asleep reading

I read of so many people that read a book in a couple of hours. Or read a book for an entire day. They can't put out down.

So why do a nod off after 20 minutes?

That is to say, they can't put the book down.

I used to be able to read a book in one go, however these days I ALWAYS read at bedtime because I am guaranteed to fall asleep. It has to be a special kind of book to keep me awake, so I don't read anywhere as much as I used to.
