If you are like me, you have written and self-published a wonderful book. You were so excited to market it and show it to the world on online and in every book store in America. Then, unfortunately, you learned that there are marketing challenges for self-publishers. Publishers didn't return your phone calls, especially if you didn't have multiple titles. Bookstores did not work with you if you were not with a distributor or wholesaler. Distributors and wholesalers denied your application because you were not with a publisher. It is definitely a circular challenge that is very difficult to overcome.
To overcome this challenge, I have created my own publishing company and am filling it with self-publishers like you and me (no cost). The name of my company is Overcome Publishing (www.overcomepublishing.com) and I am looking for self-publishers like you to partner with. The initial goal for the company is to be accepted by a national distributor/wholesaler such as Ingram. To be considered by Ingram, a publishing company needs >$50,000 of revenue and >10 titles. My title, I Want More Pizza: Real World Money Skills For High School, College, and Beyond will be included alongside your title.
I am looking for other self-publishers like yourself to partner with by placing your titles with Overcome Publishing on the application. There are no contracts or cost, rather, we will simply all benefit by working together by placing our titles together on the application. Once accepted, our titles will then have access to all bookstores in America (and internationally if that is of interest to you).
