He goes to the land of Nod and starts a new civilization, thus beginning a struggle between good and evil. While conflicts grow, faith in God also grows and is demonstrated in the lives of Adam, Enoch, Methuselah, Noah, and others. As society makes marvelous advances immorality also increases, bringing upon them the judgment of God.
