Older Genevieve is my favorite because I'm usually attracted to eccentric people and she is just so cute! Although younger Genevieve is adorable as well, I'd definitely rather meet Parasol-verse Genevieve. :)

I'm a fan of Parasol Protectorate Genevieve Lefoux.I read Finishing School first, and then, I read Parasol Protectorate. So, it was fun to see her come into her own as a woman.
Younger Vieve is my favourite. I like older Genevieve as well but I connect more with younger Vieve. She's so strong and spunky and fun in her earlier years. I love how against the grain she is as a youth. Adopting a male persona and dress is fine when you're an adult and can be independent and strong-willed. But when you're a child, to decide that this is who you are, despite the views of society around you, and to maintain that view is brilliant and admirable. I love that strength in her character. By the time she's an adult she has learned how to deal with the scrutiny but as a child it had to be difficult for her at times to maintain her stance in the face of society's criticism.
I prefer younger Vieve; however, I adore both. She has so much spunk and loveliness, and her imagination practically gallops at the finishing school.

She's a strong women, independent, and comfortable in her own skin, though she does not "conform" to what a woman is supposed to be in that time period. She's strong enough to be herself and make no apologies about it.
It took me awhile in FS books 1 & 2 to realize one of the characters was a younger Lefoux.
