I am looking for titles and authors of 2 cookbooks, That I picked up 2 Fridays ago at an estate sale.
I'll post the other one later..

First off the cookbook in this post is missing both front and back covers and the first 22 pages along with some pages from the back possibly.

The recipes are only listing the ingredents and steps but no tips for temprature if the recipe requires cooking.

There are a lot of yummy looking recipes and some not so yummy ones as you saw at the top.

Page 23 has orange cake, one egg cake, caramel cake, eggless fruit cake.

Page 70 has Marshmallow salad, meat salad, chicken salad, pea and salmon salad, meat salad [another version], and bunched asparagus salad

I'll do one more page, this is actually last page left in my book.

Page 106 has Apricot cream, frozen custard, ice cream.

I am hoping someone can help me out.
Thank you

Possibly We'll Eat Again, subtitle "A Collection of Recipes from the War Years" It has 112 pp total, pubbed in 1990, and it came up in a search for 23 eggless fruit cake.

Proudmoms | 3 comments that is a possibility. I wish the people that had the different versions posted would do screen shots of assorted pages or at least say what recipes are on each page.. I will checkout Amazon and see if anyone replies when I ask. it seems there is more than this cookbook with same title but all are same author it seems.. thank you. I will continue to look.

Proudmoms, are you still looking for this or did you find it?

Banjomike | 133 comments This is the book: Early Americana Cookbook originally published in 1922 (or 1926) as "The New Home Cookbook" by Illinois State Register which we do not have in the original just as a "classic reprint".

Google books shows a page that matches page 70 in the OP
page 70
