Maybe you could go through your characters and try to cut down on abilities? Cause two of them have three, one has four, and two are mesmers which are actually supposed to be only slightly more in number than Descryers.

Well Sakura has four, Sadra and Scarlett have three and I was thinking maybe Neji could have a different ability.

Oh yeah. I've been working on redoing Nagaya, just haven't updated it here yet. I'm gedding rid of all her abilities except Psionipath and maaaaybeee Telekineses since she's supposed to be going into Cognate training and that could create a lot of plot holes...

Hey.... Lorien? I just sat down to do my Lorien picture and realized I have pretty much no Idea what she looks like except that she has silvery platinum hair, and I was wondering if you'd be willing to write a description that's a little more detailed and has stuff like build/eye color/skin tone.
If you don't want to, that's fine, I can totally just make it up, but I'd like to make her look how you picture her if at all possible.

As far as build goes, she's slim but not incredibly skinny where you can see her bones or anything. Eyes are not too big, not too small, so they're wide and narrow also. She's shy, not sure if that will help and blushes quite a bit. ; ) I don't know how to describe skin tone so I'm guessing tanish mixed in with paleness if that helps, probably not though. That's pretty much all I can think of. Thank you again Amelia! :D

So I know that this is a KOTLC Roleplay, but I was wondering if we could have a Keeper of the Lost Cities Writing Competition. So the members who do have characters, can either write an entry about their characters, or the Keeper crew. What do you think?

That would be cool! I mean, the primary focus IS roleplay, but I know a lot of us are into fanfiction already, so it might be fun to do something like that.

If we do though, we probably want to put some sort of time limit on it, and make it clear that it's supposed to be a short story, just cuz... Yeah.

Also, if we do, can I PLEASE help judge it? That would be so fun...

Okay! What'll the word limit be? I'd guess probably somewhere around 10k? I don't know, most of the entries probably won't want to make it that long, but make it too short and it could be constricting.

So, about the writing contest, maybe we could announce it Feb 1 and then give people until the end of the month too write their entries?

We could put it as an event. I have ALWAYS wanted to make an event.

We would probably want a thread for submitting entries, where they could link it too their stories, we'd want to tell them what sorts of things we'd be judging it on, the word limit, specify that they can write it on RP characters here, or on the actual keeper characters, and... Hm, what else? Yeah. The date for submission. (feb 28?)

Any more suggestions or things we'd need to do?

Announcing it on the first is perfect and people could write anything they want so long it's about KOTLC. The date submission is great too however, I have noticed that some people aren't really all that active because of school, exams, etc., so maybe we could extend the submission date to March first?
Making an event out of this one is great too because then everyone knows about it as soon as they go onto this group!

I know this may sound all mushy and gushy, but what if we were to also hold a Valentine's Keeper of the Lost Cities contest too? All entries would have to do something about Valentines and will also have to be submitted into a different thread by Feb. 15th. Or would that be too many writing contests to hold at once? We could still have the other one but it's deadline would be somewhere around March or so. ^.^

Hmm... We could do that, but it might be better to just make this one be valentine themed. Or just encourage people to make their entries Valentines themed.

Either way, I don't feel like it would be better to extend the deadline for this one longer than a month. If we give people TOO much time, it's easy to lose interest.
