Chris Millington | 157 comments If I understand the manual correctly the authors of plays based on/created from other works should be listed as the main author and not the author of the original work. I came across these two plays and wanted to check before I made any changes:

This pantomime "Aladdin"
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
which should have Norman Robbins as the main author?

and this play adapted from "The Hound of the Baskervilles"
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
which should have Tim Kelly as the main author?

If that's correct, should these be separated from the original works?

Ayshe | 3032 comments Yes, they should be separated and primary author changed. This is from the manual:
Also note that adaptations should not be combined with their parent work. The adaptor’s name should be listed as the primary author.
