Cryokinesis - In dragon form Apophis is capable of pushing the freezing winds to create blizzards and freeze entire land masses. In his weaker mortal form Apophis can manipulate and control ice with his mind and moving energy in ice with his body as to make it mimic his movements.

Spirarekinesis - Apophis is capable of manipulating the winds and air in both human and dragon form. From hurricane force winds to gentle breezes, Apophis is a deadly force to be reckoned with when it comes to controlling the air.

Magic - As a Ryuraijin, Apophis is capable of harnessing long forgotten magic through the ancient language of old as well as ancient rituals which were passed down to the Elder Yokai from the gods. This magic like all things in the world is a gray aspect which can be used in the dark aspect or the light aspect. Apophis works his powers in the dark arts harnessing his magic with sacrificial blood, most often. Apophis has killed all four of his brothers using their blood to gain strength, knowledge, and power through the works of magic.

Dominance/ Superiority - Apophis exerts absolute dominance over all other Yokai species. It seemed to be a gift handed down through the generations after the two great wars. This ability makes others naturally feel inferior to his very presence. It also makes it very difficult for others to challenge his commands. Given dragons seem to be the apex predator this ability can give them more power than they really have inflicting others with fear granting them with natural species respect.

Enhanced Condition - Weaker in human form Apophis is still very strong. His only real capabilities in such a form is magic and his basic strength. However, his strength is to it's peak. Those who secretly know of his true form would say it is spelled by him to contain his powers or his form at times that it is hardest. Release the rune from him and release his true nature to the world, so it is believed.

Dressing Style➛
Apophis believes dressing in the finest of robes and will not hesitate any expense for such pleasures. He is seen walking his own corridors in a black silk robe, underwear, and nothing more on most nights and days. He is seen in silk suits and the finest of fabrics throughout his time in meetings and business, but he prefers to be unashamed of his outer appearance and both his mortal form and dragon form leave him with a bit of a narcissistic personality wanting to sport as much of himself to the world as possible.

History ➤

[Ancient History - Before Birth] Long ago, before mankind knew what the past even was, during the Divine Age. It was the dawning of their time. Mankind had just awoken from evolutions dreary slumber and the Yokai saw them just as the gods, nothing, but mere creatures of Masio. At this age the gods walked among the living world and ruled in the sphere's of power in person. It is said that in the many ages ago the divine made the Yokai. It is uncertain which of the divinities lived in such a young aged world, before the full pantheon came about. However, it is certain the first of the Yokai born were the Jibril, Ryuraijin, Nepra, and the Harpies. Slowly more Yokai were born into the world. At the age the other Yokai were considered "lesser" Yokai, as they were not nearly as powerful in comparison with the first Yokai. Naturally, the higher four species took to dividing the world among their kind and ruling. The gods did not dispute their right to the world.
Aside from the other Yokai ruling the world, the Ryuraijin were considered the most fearsome. The Jibril always seeking knowledge, yet never harnessing their true potential until mankind became civilized, by which time it was long too late for their race to thrive. The Nepra were weakened by the spoils of life never hardened for war, but only the theory of such things. Then there were the Harpies. The Harpies were just as resilient and resourceful as the Ryuraijin. They stood as a true opposing force. When the time came for the gods to weave their web of fate many lines crossed and many snapped. Zirnitra was said to be the first born of the Ryuraijin. He was at least the first known King of the Ryuraijin. He held a vicious brood of dragons, but his line would pass on into his eldest son, Icarus. The Great War did not begin until Zirnitra was viciously killed by an unknown enemy believed to have been the Harpies. Icarus took the throne and ordered a full scale invasion of the other divisions. The attack was large scale and unseen by any of their foes. The dragons swept from all directions destroying both mortal and Yokai villages and worked into the capitals where many faced their deaths even at a great loss for the Ryuraijins. Even then the gods did not intervene with such a war, but many did take sides during this great war. More casualties began to stack up and finally their enemies were driven back into hiding. Icarus was a ruthless king and ordered those taken captive to be disemboweled and their blood drained to fuel new rains until all submit to the rule of the dragons. Zirnitra was considered the wisest and most powerful of the Yokai before his untimely demise. It is said that all of his wisdom and power went to the other Ryuraijins who learned to harness this power usually only manifesting a fraction of what the first dragon was capable of. Icarus knew the language of dragons very well and as king held access to all of his father's scrolls. He learned magic and used this as an advantage in the war. He pushed forth the remainder of his armies into the North where their greatest foe had set to residing. All of the other Yokai submitted to the dominance and rule of the Ryuraijins, However, the Harpies were only gathering their forces. A century long war took place now having met their greatest rivals the Ryuraijin and the Harpies were nearly wiped from existence seeming to dwindle even more so than the Jibril and the Nepra. Finally, the Harpies came to submission. Once the war was finally over, and the Ryuraijin took to the throne of the world as if born unto it, Icarus seemed still dissatisfied. The Blood Rains continued for over a decade. At last Icarus was challenged. At this point he had already claimed a bride and held a vicious nest of his own offspring which he kept in knowledge of the dark magics. However, just as their father was murdered so was Icarus, but this time with a true audience to the crime. Zephyros, the second eldest dragon of the royal family was a mirror of their father, Zirnitra. He was wise, powerful, and gifted in many forms of magic and in control of the elements of Water and Air. Zephyros rose to challenge his brother and sent for all of the Ryuraijin to gather in what is now called the Dust District. It was here that both dragons were away from their true elements. While Zephyros held air and water the air was too dry for water and so much earth twisted in the winds it made it impossible to harness the power of the winds. Icarus held power over lightening and ice which seemed impossible to grasp in such a vast land of heat and desert, Here the brother's tested true brute force and knowledge of magic alone. The battle lasted for nine days and nights leaving both to near death, but at last the gods did intervene. They saw the cruelty and tyranny that Icarus had brought into their world and they were not pleased. Amaterasu supported Zephyros and with her light she blinded Icarus before he could deal a final blow to his younger brother. Zephyros sought the opportunity and ripped his brother's heart from his body.

Even though it was the first born of Icarus who was to claim the throne Zephyros could not allow the horrid beast to continue such dark ages. Then so it was called the Dark Age, the Blood Age, or at times the Dragon Age. Zephyros ended the Dragon Age and took the throne of the world for his own. His brother's magic was destroyed ending the blood rains and the red snows. Zephyros claimed his new dynasty and a new age to be known as the Light Age, the Peace Age, or the Oath Age. Zephyros ruled with a fierce iron fist, but he was also understanding, merciful, and kind. Even toward his enemies, Zephyros showed and offered mercy. The elder Yokai species were given their own territories to remain at peace, but the territories of Masio were vast and much different then and each was reigned over by a council of Noble dragons. It was at this time that Zephyros made an oath to the gods to keep peace in all the world under his supreme rule. Zephyros allowed some of his nieces and nephews to remain with the royal courts and become nobles, however, a vast number of them were sent into exile for their immoral actions and desires. Zephyros held a close connection to the gods. This was long before they slowly evaded the world and did not walk freely among mortals. Zephyros often walked the floating palace of Fujin and had long conversations with him and the other gods. He was blessed with knowledge few others could fathom. He was taught greater expansions of magic that could twist the very fibers of existence within the universe. Then came the time the gods sent Zephyros to seek a mate so that his line and his race may not be lost to time. Many females, or rather the last of the females after the Great War, came to be a suitor to King Zephyros. He did enjoy the attention, gifts, and company, but something was missing from their personalities. He met one who was named Pandora, but her powers seemed to not be for the sort to take a throne. She held power over plants and was gifted in healing magic. Zephyros did court her, but Pandora was only a time of fun and love, but nothing real or true to Zephyros' heart. Eventually, a line surfaced from Pandora and Zephyros which became a saving grace to the species in the future. However, the king still had no queen. Zephyros sough the gods for help. Fujin informed him to be patient and wise when choosing, but gave no real idea as to who he might choose. Finally, Zephyros sought the aid of Kyonshi who was revered for her excellent guidance in relationships. However, Zephyros broke the bond of brotherhood spilling the blood of his brother. Kyonshi was not forgiving to such a breaking of bonds and wished to aid Icarus in the fight, but was unable to sway Zephyros' will to better the world over his blood bond with Icarus. She took the defeat hard and used such a grudge to fuel the disasters of the future. Whether she knew it or not at the time with a simple grudge, Kyonshi played a third wheel in the events that led to darkness befalling all of the world and the vanishing of Amaterasu. She offered Zephyros seven years of time to find him the perfect lover. In such a time he was to pay his debts for breaking the blood bond between him and his brother. Of course, once broken and bond of brotherhood in blood is unforgivable. It is a sin one must carry on their heart forever. Against her own moral judgement Kyonshi summoned a number of gods to aid her. Ana was brought forth she helped plot the making of bride for Zephyros the new dragon king. they wanted amusement in the world below just as Icarus had brought them. Zephyros spent his seven years making amends bringing his brother's children back into his court from exile. He offered them houses of nobility and allowed them to establish small territories to rule over. While the gods worked their magic to make a new Ryuraijin, one who would be the reincarnation of Zephyros' brother, Icarus.
