Let's see... well, I'm be using my character Light. They had a hard past, and they're cold at first; but after you get to know them, they start to warm up. If that helps >.<

Yes, but it's complicated, so here's the explanation copypasted :)
Powers/Abilities: Hope. This one's complicated, so bear with me for a lengthy explanation please~ Everyone has a soul, and every soul has a specific trait. Light's soul trait is Hope, a rarer one, but still not as uncommon as others. The thing that sets her apart is that she has discovered what her soul trait is, and the powers it contains.
The powers of Hope:
·Ability to grant wishes. However, depending on the wish, Light's life force is drained. Say you wish for a really strong sword that can almost instantly kill anyone. Light's life is shortened by months, maybe even years. But say that you wish for a pen you lost to come back. It's shortened by days, possibly even hours. This is due to the fact that every time she grants a wish, a piece of her soul (size depending on the wish) is broken off. And once her soul pieces are all taken, she dies.
·Light cannot grant her own wishes. She would have to have someone to specifically ask her for a wish. And someone couldn't just wish something while directing her speech to Light. They would have to know about her power to have wishes granted.
·Light, depending on the wish, can become exhausted and pass out for a few days. There is also a lengthy time depending on how big your wish is. For example, if you wish for someone you hate to die, Light can't grant any wishes for days.
·Light already has about a fourth of her soul broken off due to wishes, and would like to have no more wishes granted if possible, but knows that it's probably impossible.
((NOTE!: Some of you may question why I used "Hope". Well, when you hope for something, you are actually wishing for it to happen, right? ;) ))
