Charlotte Mecklenburg Library (charlotte_mecklenburg_library) | 13 comments Why was Victor Frankenstein so obsessed with death? What actions and events led to his obsession? Did any series of events or people foster his obsession?

Mark Thornberry | 5 comments Well, ever the contrarion in these discussions, I can't say that Victor was " obsessed with death" anymore than your average person is being fully aware that you're going to die. Victor's got a problem with megalomania. For example, "...What glory would attend the discovery, if I could banish disease from the human frame, and render man invulnerable to any but a violent death." Get over yourself, Vic.
