Tessa | 1761 comments Young readers, sure. I do love children's books. However, Harry Potter is bar none the best series I've ever read. Percy Jackson is just fun and exciting. And well, Cinderella. (However, I LOVE the cover!)

I agree, Tessa... but... how to compare a book to all three. It *almost* makes me want to see if it is available at a library just to see how they think they could do it, LOL!

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments Hey guys, going back to Australia now. For a rest. So you can come visit. Haha has everyone read Dear Aaron I really loved that book.

message 354: by Nay (new)

Nay (4ukcats) Safe trip, Melinda! How long will it take you to get back? Did you enjoy New York??

yes, safe travels, Melinda!

message 357: by Melinda (new)

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments Renee I think it's nearly 21 hours. We have an extra 3 hours in transit. So 24 hours in total but it's so worth it. I think it's actually harder adjusting to the time the first few days As i was waking at 3am and couldn't get back to sleep. And yes yes I loved New York. I wished we could have stayed a little longer. The shopping is fantastic in New York. But I have to go back to work. But I would like to go back. Maybe you can come to Australia. It's very similar.

It looks great Tasha!

Love the mirror and sink.

Is that the baby hand?

Did you do the work yourself or hire out?

message 361: by [deleted user] (new)

I zoomed in. I think i signed up for pinterest way way back in the day but never used it.

It could be fun though for a visual bucket lisr, dream life, goals type thing.

message 362: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments I do like it. The baby hand still creeps me out a little. lol But that's my issue. I love the wallpaper, and those little blue and red scrolly things to hold your towels. The mirror came out awesome too.

Your bathroom was sure brown before, huh?

I've had pintrest for a while. I love it, especially when I need a visual of things.

Robin Hill (robinhill) | 1528 comments You should drink heavily tonight and eat onions for breakfast!

Just kidding. No luck needed, you'll nail it!

message 373: by [deleted user] (new)

Inspiration?

Like how to get drunk the night before and accidentally have a one night stand with your new boss?

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments Has anyone read The Unrequited by saffron Kent I'm up to 26% and struggling. Has anyone else found this book boring. All these people were raving how good it was on Maryse.

message 379: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments Hi Melinda! Yes a bunch of us have read it...we just did a BR. But you might not want to check out the thread as there are a ton of spoilers. I didnt love it....it wasnt what I was expecting. A little dark and porn-ish. I did like the crazy h though. I think Nay is reading it now too.

message 380: by Melinda (new)

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments I'm really struggling to keep my interest. But thanks for letting me know, I'm not alone.

Melinda--Yes, As Leslie said, I'm reading it right now! I'm also going to post on the br thread as I go, even though I think I'm the only one reading it! lol I was supposed to join in on the br, but life got in the way.

ETA: Btw, I'm at 16%, and I'm loving it so far, not bored at all, but we shall see as I get as far as you are.

message 382: by Melinda (new)

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments I just came off a telly good book. Sometimes your expectations are just too much. But I'm sticking it out.

message 383: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Aiello (lisaaiello) | 2460 comments Sorry it's not panning out so good for you yet, Melinda. I was mesmerized by this story at the get go. It hit a lot of personal notes for me and I just sort of understood their brand of crazy and the push/pull and the unrequitedness (is that even a word???) of it all.

message 384: by Ela (new)

Ela | 4291 comments Thanks ladies! Today is round 2 and I would not have a new boss, nothing would change but my title and salary... *rolls eyes*

message 385: by Nay (new)

Nay (4ukcats) Oh, yes, Ela! I meant to write something inspirational for you the other day, but my sister called about my mom and I got completely sidetracked.

A better salary is always good, and a more impressive title may help on your resume! (the same thing happened to me back when I was still able to work).

Now go forth and kick ass!

Keep us posted!

message 386: by Ela (new)

Ela | 4291 comments I greatly appreciate all your wisdom ladies!

I also have liked Camilla Rose cirl maker, but a little goes a long way, and Darshana conditioner.

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments Your not alone Ela, I too are starting a new job on Monday. Good luck.

message 391: by Ela (new)

Ela | 4291 comments Thanks Melinda, technically it's not a new job but a promotion to do what I already do for which I had to officially interview for. I should know something this coming week. Good luck to you!!!👍🍾💫

message 392: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) Good luck to both of you! Squeezy hugs!

message 393: by Melinda (new)

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments Thanks Ella "snap". Same here, but still it's working with new people. Different place, just the unknown and no familiarity. Good luck 😉. Fun and games but more money 💰

Favorite hair products... I use Paul Mitchell Super Skinny serum and Super Clean Sculpting gel or TIGI Catwalk Curls Rock Curl Amplifier and Aussie hair spray.

message 395: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) "TIGI Catwalk Curls Rock Curl Amplifier" I love the name of that! Could it be any longer? LOL.

I know, right? It smells FANTASTIC though!

message 397: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) For me the scent is one of the most important things in a good hair product (apart from doing its basic job of course LOL). But if I don't like the smell, I won't buy it again.

ME TOO!!! It has to smell good for me!

message 399: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes about the scent thing. I bought one that had a verys strong fake vanilla scent. Ugh. But i had to use it up.

message 400: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) Ugh. *shudders* IKWYM about having to use it up. Even if it only cost a couple of bucks, I hate throwing things out that haven't been all used up.
