Nay (4ukcats) Just peeking in for a sec and saw your post Leslie. The covers of all my purchases and freebies show up on hubby's kindle (even if I only specifically have them downloaded to mine), and he drives me CRAZY about them! I wish there was a way to make them only show up on mine, but there's not. I checked! Amazon says that if you share an account, all the kindles on that account see the covers, so he has to delete them.

Grey--doing ok. I got couple of days behind on the editing because I was feeling like CRAP, and I just found out that I've been going through Prednisone withdrawal.

Now that I'm down to 10mg/day, they should be lowering me 1mg/day for a week at a time, but they put me down to 5mg and after a few days, OMG! It was scaring me how bad I felt and my mind was all messed up, but I finally looked it up last night and I had all the symptoms. So I took an extra half dose and within an hour, I felt 90% better. So I'm taking 7.5 mg/day for the next week and then going down from there.

Guess I'll be reading my challenge book on the 30th!

I miss reading and I MISS YOUS GUYS!!!

Yes, curly hair. Honestly the hair cut didnt look much different than when i came in. Not as much off as i wanted. Then after she put product in she combed through it to style. I was in my head, Nooo. *shrug*.
No times, but yes individual #s listed. 2 are not taking clients right now, but one is. That one my hair ended up shorter than i was expecting, im pretty easy going just giving general length and what they think is best, but though a bit shocked i loved it. And was complimented on it twice in the 30 minutes after the cut.

message 253: by [deleted user] (new)

We miss you too, Nay. But take care of yourself first. You should find all the free books with the naughtiest covers and titles and load your husband up.

Lisa Aiello (lisaaiello) | 2460 comments I see a download of "The Haunted Vagina" showing up on Nay's husband's Kindle soon...at least that's what I would do (evil grin). Feel better and back to yourself soon, Nay...we miss your face!!!

message 255: by Ela (new)

Ela | 4291 comments Yes Renee...The Haunted Vagina or That Bieber book about him loosing his anal virginity to the dragon!!!!! Miss you!

Curly club here too

message 256: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments I want curls!!! My hair is stupid. It grows out of top of my head straight and flat but ends curl.

Bev, for me with the hair length is this: I am lazy! When its short, I have to take time to style it. When its long, I ponytail it, bun it or slap on a baseball cap. I always seem to regret it when I cut it. But my hair isnt curly when its short. The curls might make the difference.

*hugs Nay*

Whoah. I'm so glad my purchases only appear on MY kindle. *cringes at the thought of my books appearing on my husband's device* I'm the same as you Leslie. I don't like anyone to look at my covers. Even of decent books the covers are sometimes so skanky. Case in point - the cover of Sustained looks very saucy but the book itself isn't even that saucy. But all of those ripped torso covers or lingerie covers - I like to keep them private except on GR and Maryse.

Leslie | 2430 comments Hey guys, lets all "gift" Nay a bunch of porny books so they show up on her hubs kindle!!!

Ha ha ha

message 259: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments Bev, you can look at different styles with your curl type. That might be a way to figure out what you want to do with your hair. My niece is going to cosmetology school right now, so I asked her to style my hair after swim season. :D No point when I'm going into the pool alot. By the end, it might need some love anyway.

Nay, there is always Helicopter Man Pounds Dinosaur Billionaire Ass (A Novel). Sounds good, right?

message 260: by [deleted user] (new)

Im horrible with hairstyles. I like to condition, scrunch in gel and go about my day letting it air dry.
I think i will end up calling the one. I just will feel bad if the other is there. I just didnt think she would remember me, lol. It would make it so much easier.

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments Hey, can someone please tell me where to buy good coffee. In Australia its called Latte. We are in Florida USA and my husband is getting very upset as he's having withdrawals.
We've been to Starbucks and heaps of others. He likes a strong coffee double shot espresso with milk a little froth. Hot. We need to save the holiday. Jokes. HELP 😂😂😂😂

Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts and Tim Hortons are the top 3 that come to mind. And happy vacation!!! Have fun and be safe!

message 269: by Melinda (new)

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments Thanks Grey, we've already tried Starbucks. He might just have to " suck it up" Aussie expression. We are going to New York soon. Someone said there's a place there. But we will try Dunkin donuts. They have heaps of trained barista's in Aus and shops. There's huge competition who has the best coffee. Starbucks went broke in Australia as it wasn't up to scratch. We are actually having a great time. Love it actually.

message 270: by [deleted user] (new)

Melinda, it sounds like you want to stay away from the chains. Hit up an independent shop.

message 271: by [deleted user] (new)

For New York if it helps.

message 272: by Melinda (new)

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments Where would we find that Bev?

message 273: by [deleted user] (new)

Poor dogs. For upset tummy unsweetened pumpkin mixed with some ground turkey helps.

message 274: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) Poor doggies. I've never heard of that :(

message 275: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) Melinda good luck in your coffee hunt. We do take our good coffee for granted here in Australia ;)

message 276: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments I should've asked. Where in Florida? The reason is, some things are in very specific areas of FL, that if you aren't near, makes the suggestion pointless.

message 277: by [deleted user] (new)

Oh, the pumpkin is good for both diarrhea and constipation with dogs. I was thinking it was a side sympton.

Jan, i wonder if you dont have it in Australia? You can get a vaccine. The one they did on mine years and years ago was actually up the nose.

message 278: by [deleted user] (new)

Melinda, an independent shop? I have never been to Florida so no specifics. But they usually abound. I live in a very small town, like one main street and we have 2 and one chain. Well, the chain is PNW only.
Could google but if you are outgoing people or staff there. Coffee lovers are everywhere.

message 279: by Melinda (new)

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments Tash, my doggie had kennel cough he was very unwell too. You can get an injection and my vet said to boil chicken and give him that. He came good. He's 13 years now. And now he has just had an operation for cancer. And we're in Florida. Just happened so fast went to the vet found the Tumor and I didn't want to wait, so he was operated on. He's very very spoilt and my girls have been so worried about him. They call him the baby.

Thanks guys for the coffee tips we are in Orlando doing the Disney and Universal studios thing. It's been fantastic so good. Any other tips.

message 280: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments Ask a cast member or a hotel person. They'll have ideas. A friend of mine in Florida recommended Drunken Monkey. Don't know personally, but that might work.

message 281: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments OH! And while down there, I'd recommend for dinner a place called Cowfish. It's in the Universal City Walk Honestly, it was so good, none of us who went have been able to stop raving about it.

message 282: by [deleted user] (new)

Ive never been. 😕 But Butterbeer and wands.

And please go to a place called Drunken Monkey.

message 283: by Melinda (new)

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments Half the problem is when he way asking for the coffee. They couldn't understand our accent. When we say car we say caaaa, you say carrrrr.
So he asked for 16oz espresso latte. It came with no milk. Threw in bin in disgust. It's really very funny. As I don't drink coffee. Tea all the way. I think Maryse is close to here. I think we are too far from the monkey one. We might try dinner though at the place you suggested. We go to New York on Friday ant suggestions for food and coffee to save the holiday. Lol

message 284: by Melinda (new)

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments Tasha, You should come to Australia the coffee is amazing and the variety is about 5 times as long. My daughter has a job as a barista part time while at university and it took her 2 weeks to be trained in all the different types of coffees. We have coffee machine as well. But coffee shops are so specular and competitive and so many people meet for coffee it's like the in thing to do. They even have drive through places just for coffee.

message 285: by Melinda (new)

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments Tasha, my boy is so spoilt I won't put him in a kennel he stays with friends. The kennel is probably where he got it from. That's where my boy got it from. It's very distressing. I'ii see if I can attach a photo he's very pretty. Maybe I'm biased.

message 286: by Melinda (new)

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments Can't seem to send photo. Unless someone can explain how to do that

message 287: by [deleted user] (new)

Melinda have your husband tell them how to make it. With milk and foam. They wont mind at all. I order on menu but everyone else in line always seems to have distinct orders and the barristas never mind. Plus, most people are interested in travellers as youve probably noticed.
Curious...as a tourist do Americans come across as friendly? Or when they go to Australia?
Only come across a couple australians here and very friendly.

message 288: by [deleted user] (new)

That stinks Tasha. Last time mine didnt havethe vac but didnt catch it.
So my girl hates meds to. Even where i try to hide it in the wet food and she has eaten around that tiny area. Lol. Sometimes mayo has worked. *shrug* she is odd. Or raw hamburger.

message 289: by Melinda (new)

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments Tasha, people keep stopping us and asking our accent. They are all very nice and helpful. It's very nice being Australian and traveling through the USA we went to Italy last year. They aren't so obliging. Everyone wants to know about the country and a lady I was talking to yesterday waiting in line at Disney wanted recipes. So I face booked them to her. My husband and I love it.

The worse thing about having pets is when you travel. I have a few friends that always look after my doggie for me. They love him. As he's very cuddly. And he's small.

message 290: by Melinda (new)

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments Try chicken mince in balls. That is usually good.

message 291: by Melinda (new)

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments Some flour and water. If you run it through the blender. That may be ok. Or an egg. My vet did say to boil the chicken first. The good thing is at least they are eating. When they don't eat that's a problem.

we were In Disney and universal for christmas, Melinda... it was awesome! I'm not a big coffee drinker, I like the sweet froufrou sweets, like frappes or iced flavored coffees, but I just go to Dunkin or Starbucks on the off occasion that I get one.
Tasha, I hope your doggie feels better soon. I agree, boil the chicken and then shred it up with a little of the boiled water with the medicine( cooled before serving of course)

message 293: by Melinda (new)

Melinda Ruyten | 1027 comments Success with coffee Dunkin donut. We had to get a triple shot. We have decided that the coffee is weaker here. The girl was really helpful. Thank you all. It was 7/10 was the score but he's a hard marker and he does this with my cooking. So I would it's good. All joking though. It's because Masterchef on the TV.

My husband used to stay in an all male hostel when he traveled to Amsterdam with his buddies. He said research the shit out of it. Some are shadier than others. You should be able to get a good idea off of online reviews. I would think Trip Advisor would have them.

message 298: by Niki (new)

Niki | 45 comments Thanks Robin!! Trip Advisor has some good reviews about it!!

I'm going for Karen Marie Moning's book launch of High Voltage and a bunch of Moning Maniacs are staying at the same place but I just wanted other opinions too since I've never stayed at one and it just makes me a little nervous.
