I'll be the ying to Lisa's yang. This guy has one book out with an Amazon ranking of 573,192. That means he sells less than one book per day, and based on my rank and what I sell, it's probably less than a book per month. It's a first in series and he's saying he can't afford to finish his second in series, which take it from me, doesn't do nearly as well. It's unlikely he'll even recover his costs, so the idea that he needs to publish this book to support his family is laughable.

If what he's saying happened to him is true, that's horrible, and my heart goes out to him. But the fact that he's bringing up a book in the midst of all this--a book that likely won't sell--is a big red flag. The kind of gofundme he needs should be hosted by his friends and family and have nothing whatsoever to do with the book world.

Michele--you really must read the series. So SO good! And the last, Undeserving, was just magic! It was hands down my favorite book of 2017. But look at the old covers--not the sucky ones with the women on them. I still don't understand why they were changed to something that doesn't even match the tone of the series.
