Rapture and Severance will both be on KU (Rapture is there now and Severance will be as soon as it releases). Severance will also be on NetGalley soon. She sent it last night. But, if you are ready to start and want to read an ARC for review, I can get you the bookfunnel link.

I think they mean Severence. I didn't think Rapture was too terribly angsty, but early reviews indicate a lot of tears with Severence.

...runs to go find books about unicorns and glitterfarts!

Books like Carnage The Story of Us (Carnage, #1) by Lesley Jones or Heartbreak Warfare Heartbreak Warfare by Heather M. Orgeron would be dubbed "NSFL" (not suitable for Leslie)

There is a line on the form that says to put N/A if any of the following links aren't applicable. So just use N/A for anything you don't have. This form is for both readers and bloggers so that's why those fields are there.

I surprisingly didn't struggle with it as much as I expected to. But I'm almost 45 and have a questionable crush on shawn mendes so there's that. I loved it as well. I would have REALLY loved it if I'd thought to cast shawn mendes as Hayes.

I love to read all your comments.
I liked The Idea of You by Robinne Lee , but also struggled with the age difference. in the end I gave it 4 stars. I thinks it worths reading

message 1998: by Michele (new)

Michele (guilliem) | 2131 comments When I read I often remove the "real life" factor from it, so the "ick factor" at their age difference didn't bother me as much as it would if I had run across it in the real world.

Good point, Michele. I sometimes do that too, like in mafia books or biker books. In real life I would be terrified by some of the people in those books, but I still like to read about them sometimes in a kind of "they're not really real so it doesn't matter" type of thing. But for some reason I just couldn't with TIOY.

*hugs Ela and Melinda for similar feelings about TIOY*

The last 15% I really enjoyed, but it’s so hard to distance yourself when she kept saying, I’m old enough to be your Mother.
Or the age difference between her and his parents.
Eeewwwwwww it’s just yuck. But about 70% she stopped saying, I I could be your mum or my daughter is close to your age
so I could pretend he was older or she was younger.
If he had of been 26,27,28
Then no probs.
