Awww Nay. I think you walked over someone’s grave. My Dog is also sick he’s 14 years. He has cancer. As we speak he has gone to the vet. He has already had 2 operations to remove the tumour. He has heart problems as well and the vet the other day said if their heart is bad they faint all the time. So that could be a factor of the fainting. To get a blood transfusion I don’t think there is anything much that can go wrong. They just need the red blood count to increase so the oxygen can be transported better around the body then he should stop fainting. Good Luck all my wishes are with you. My doggy might not be so lucky but let’s hope. Today we are at the oncologist. It keeps making me cry as he’s the baby.

Thanks, Melinda! Bless your doggy’s heart! So sorry he’s sick! We’re on our way home—we had to leave her for a transfusion and there’s a chance she might not make it because her blood count is so low. But I trust this vet because he cured one of our other dogs of parvo 12 yrs ago. So now it’s just a waiting game.
Aw so sorry to hear about your sick doggies..... sending positive thoughts to both of you and your families.
Melinda/Nay your making me cry over here-my doggies are my babies my kids and I could not imagine going through what you both are! God Bless both of you and your furry-babies 😘❤️🤗
Sorry I didn't see this until now, if it is just anemia, I would go ahead with the transfusion. Multivitamins are great but it takes too long to get the count back up, if you know what I mean? A red blood cells life cycle takes a while to form...so your pup needs the boost of oxygen containing red cells now or he/she is just going to continue to feel the strain of the low count until the body has produced more. Hope that wasn't too technical...short answer transfusion makes most sense.

Aww...sorry about your puppy! Hope everything works out ok :) <3
Thanks, Leslie and Judy! The vet called a bit ago and she's doing pretty well, so we get to pick her up this afternoon! She'll be on steroids for a while and other meds forever, but we just want her to feel better.

YAY! I'm glad I saw this when the happy news was released. Meds are annoying, but it's worth it for a healthy pup.

that's great news! we had a dog or two from the before we got married until about 5 yrs ago...our last guy lived 16 yrs ;) I'm just starting to get to the point where I'm considering getting another one...my girls have been bugging me for years, lol
It's so funny (funny strange, not funny ha ha). The vet was telling us, "Now she's going to be on prednisone so there's going to be some swelling, especially in her face. And you may not even recognize her for a bit. But after a couple of months, we'll start tapering her off of it. It'll still take some time for her to get over the effects..."Rick and I just looked at each other and smirked--BEEN THERE DONE THAT! I looked like a lion when I was on it. A FAT lion!

So glad Nay, they are just an extension of the family. We are awaiting the results. And then we will decide what to do as he’s 14 years with heart problems.
Just saw that The Bird Box is going to be a movie on Netflix with Sandra Bullock! May be old news...but I just saw the advertisement and it looks like a good adaptation ...from what I could tell in the quick blip...
Ella, I am so behind in that series I don't know if I'll remember everything either which makes me hesitant to go back to it!

Judy.Ca wrote: "Hey girls! Has anyone read London Miller? her stuff is all on KU...and also has written some books with Bethany-Kris..."I read the Marchello series by Bethany-Kris. I haven't read the spinoff about the kids though.
With London Miller, I am on the fourth book of the Volkov family. Why haven't I read the fourth one yet?
