Nay (4ukcats) Leslie!!!!

I was going through my shelves, and I have one called 'remind Leslie to read in October', soooo, I'm reminding you to read:

Something in the Way (Something in the Way, #1) by Jessica Hawkins AND Somebody Else's Sky (Something in the Way, #2) by Jessica Hawkins

because this:

Move the Stars (Something in the Way, #3) by Jessica Hawkins

is coming out on 10/23!

yes! thats a reminder for me too! I was thinking actually of reading that series in November. I am reading Kiss the Sky right now. Then I'm going to read my ARC of A Charm of Finches. Then I have 2 ARC's lined up for the end of the month.

Nay (4ukcats) I CAN NOT wait! I've LOVED both books and when I finished the 2nd one, I couldn't believe I had to wait 5 months for the next one!

Yasssss for a buddy read! I have the first book. I may have the second one even. Not sure, but this way, if we wait til November, lol, I will have time to get another Amazon gift card to pay for the next book, haha!

message 659: by Ela (new)

Ela | 4291 comments I'm in for a buddy read for sure BUT I'm not sure I want to do the 3 books all at once because then it seems to drag the story out...

message 660: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments Ela, I am the opposite. I need to read all books in series in succession or else I am lost. Well, if you want to start before us, maybe you can join us when we get to last book?

message 661: by Ela (new)

Ela | 4291 comments I can't have a lot of space between my books but maybe just a day or so...

message 681: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) I just had one of those funny (odd) GR book recs I thought I'd share. Apparently, because I liked the HR Tempting the Bride, GR's algorithm thinks I will therefore also like Stripped Bare - blurb: When visiting an adult bookstore for a bachelor party, Professor Brody Kincaid is shocked to see his former student Missy Haddan working at the counter. Hes wanted her for a long time, and Fate has finally brought them together. Missy knows hes out of her league, but when Brody offers to teach her to play poker, Missy cant resist..... yada yada yada

To that I say, WTAF?????? I can't, no I really can't see a point of similarity between the two books, except, maybe, romance???? Again, WTF? *sighs*

message 692: by Grey (new)

Grey | 2385 comments Mod
I try... I usually fail, but I attempt it, LOL! Actually last year, I didn't buy any books for several months, so I was a rock star. I may do that one again...

message 693: by [deleted user] (new)

Me too.

Yet, still have a few for this year. I feel optimistic. We shall see.

I opened up the January Pick for Me and 2018 TBR challenge threads. I wasn't sure what name had been decided on for the other challenge, if it was going to be PMF (pick my fave) or FSF (Five Star Favorite) or maybe even MRF (Must Read Favorite) challenge. You guys can let me know and I will open that one up... or one of you can too, I don't have to be the one opening the threads, LOL!

Didn't she say she was working CRAZY hours during the holiday week? I feel your pain, girl, if that's what it is... I remember those days not so fondly... healthcare sucks during the holiday week...especially if you don't have kids, and you're trying to help out those that do. The paychecks are killer amazing... but you usually get shafted on hours and sleep is nonexistent.
