Sure ... In fact, I can't wait to start it. The only thing keeping me from starting it yet is that at least I own a copy of it, whereas there are loads of books in the library that I wish to read. (I'll be graduating next year and then will have to hunt a new library wherever it is I head off to.. lol)
I have far too many books that are waiting to be read, and can't resist buying more! The next one I'm going to read is Tell it to the Skies, as it's the only one I have at my dads with me.
Jo wrote: "The Bell Jar is next on my list of books to buy. You will have to let me know what you think of it "Very good read and very melancholy. I think you will enjoy this. This book is VERY parallel to Plath's own life and I think this makes the book even more sad. Still, a great read!

The Time Traveler's Wife was brilliant! Just read it before you see the movie. Or don't see the movie at all. I hear they are nothing alike!
Jessica wrote: "Just read it before you see the movie. Or don't see the movie at all..."I find if i read the book first, the movie disappoints me (always!), since I expect the movie to stay loyal to the book and every single action should be coherently explained even if all the scenes from the book do not make it to the screen. I watched Sister's Keeper before reading the book, and I was able to enjoy the movie tremendously, even crying buckets of tears :-) And the book has a different ending, so I didn't feel like "Surprise spoiled" or something.
Though if I get my hands on the book asap, I won't care to wait. :-)

So, did you prefer the ending in the movie or the book better? Do you recommend "My Sister's Keeper?" I was thinking of purchasing it this weekend....any advice on your favorite reads recently would be a tremendous help. Thanks! :)
The ending in the movie was good from the movie's perspective. I think if it had the books' ending, it wuda been a longer movie.but I liked the book ending better. It came out like an anti-climax. Like how things can go horribly wrong when u least expect it. I'd recommend the book. i'd also recommend The Bell Jar and She's Come Undone, if you haven't tried them out yet!
Forever in Blue The Fourth Summer of the Sisterhood
Go Ask Alice
Queen Bees and Wannabes Helping Your Daughter Survive Cliques, Gossip, Boyfriends, and Other Realities of Adolescence

Elegance of a HedgehogThe Girl with a Dragon Tattoo
The Bell Jar
Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
Just got The Wind Singer by William Nicholson and Remind me who I am again by Linda Grant from Amazon.

Shelli, I am yet to read She's Come Undone. It might be a Winter read for me. I haven't tried [book:I Know This Much Is True, either. Adding to my TBR! :) Thanks :)
My TBR list causes me great anxiety. I won't list it, because it just keeps getting longer, and I've had too much coffee this morning. Not sure my heart can take it.Anyone else have this problem?
Yeah I'm doing the same thing. I tend to add books more than I read, but I usually take a list of 10 at the beginning of the month and try and read through that. I usually base my 10 on whatever challenge I am doing at the time or continuation books of series I have started, those kinds of things.

Most of my getting ready to read list is posted here on GR, but the books I'm interested in are on a file on my flash drive that is about two pages, two columns per page at an 8pt font, full of books and authors to read.
Oh, I don't drink coffee, but I do love the tea.
It makes me smile to see that I am not alone :) My boyfriend think I am crazy. Maybe that's true...but who cares, it's so good and challenging !
I just had dinner with an old friend last night, and we were joking about his TBR. I keep suggesting books for him to read, and then about seven or eight years later he'll say, "Oh, I finally read X. Very good."I will, of course, have forgotten the recommendation in the first place.
Good idea. Many of these recommendations occurred even before the web, and certainly before social media sites like this, so remembering them will be a feat. :)
There's just way too many! I always have a list of books I really want to read, and then another for the rest I want to read but are not a priority. I also have a problem with starting a series and never really finishing it because I've started to read other books...

Yes! I can't stop myself from adding books. It's like an addiction. Meanwhile, I spend more time on here, reading reviews and finding new books, (and chatting) than I do reading...which is the whole point, isn't it?
Arrrrgggghhhh!!!
The next 10 books on my list are The Hunger Games, Betrayed, Under The Dome, Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Her Fearful Symmetry, The Book Thief, Hush Hush, Noughts and Crosses, Club Dead and City of Glass.

LOL! Where is 'over here'?? If it's somewhere above zero degrees and with less than a foot of snow, I'm there! If it's not, well I'm still there .. just have a pot of coffee on, k?

Oh, I LOVED GLASS HOUSES and DEAD TO THE WORLD!! You have great reading ahead of you!
The problem with the Gunslinger is that it left me hanging. I read it when it first came out & really wanted to read the next book. I don't recall exactly how it went; I might have read the second & couldn't find the third - now there is 6 or 7... Anyway, it just seemed like too much work. Whereas "Carrie" - wow!
