I am reading this for "great opening line", week 49. I haven't read any Ann Patchett yet but I hear that she is amazing so I figured that I would start with her front list (even though I already picked up State of Wonder from a library sale about a year ago and have never touched it...)

This was my first read with Ann Patchett and I must say I liked it. I don't think the story was very entertaining, but her writing is wonderful. I will probably try to read some more of her stuff in the future. My review here.
Can anyone thnk of an ATY 2017 category this would fit into? I'm dying to read it and wouldn't mind two birds - one stone-ing it... :)
This is my first Ann Patchett too. I'm reading it for the 2017 best seller prompt. So far I'm loving it.

I zoomed through this one and loved it! I'm usually not one for family dramas but this one was so well written. The characters felt very very real even though there were so many of them to explore. I think it did a remarkable job finding truths about the modern mixed family. I immediately put Bel Canto on hold at the library the second I was done! Does anyone recommend any other of Ann Patchett's novels?

I' reading this for the author you've never read before (week 22). I also bought State of Wonder at the library book sale last year and so many people swear it's their favorite book.
I only started last night but boy did it hook one in right away!

Read this for "Book with a one word title". The beginning hooked me right away but there were some chapters that seemed to drag. This was my first Anne Patchett book and I liked it.

I am starting this book today for prompt 22, an author that I haven't read before. I have heard she is great so I am looking forward to it. And looks like people have liked this book from the comments. :)

Well I finished this very complex family drama and really loved it!!! Took some brain power to keep all the characters straight especially in audio when you never know it's a new chapter in a different time frame of the plot line. But all and all really felt I liked seeing where the story went and enjoyed learning about the family members and their relAtionships! It's my first Ann Patchet book but it won't be my last! ;)

I started this one the other day. I'm not really sure what to expect but I'm liking the writing so far so I'm looking forward to continuing the book. It's my first Ann Patchett book as well.

I read this for Week 45: A Book With a One-Word Title. Ann Pratchett has never let me down. I loved this book!

I am reading this for Week 44: A recommendation from "What Should I Read Next"I wanted to read a book like A Gentleman in Moscow. Although good, this book is not it.
But, no worries. My book club is reading it too.
I picked this for 49, a Goodreads Best Book of the Month. I did not love this book, although I can see why some do. I think I might just be one of those people who is not a "something terrible happened and now we are all dealing with it terribly" books.
I read this for the 2019 challenge prompt #47 a book related to food.I wasn't a fan. I rated it 2 stars. I did like her writing but the story more or less bored me. Once I did get the characters straight I did think it was all believable and real but it just didn't do anything for me. I might try Bel Canto in the future but definitely not the near future.
